I can confirm that the new Lloyds CC's are kept upside down for me, but only because knowing the signature would otherwise not be the right way up really bothers me.

I don't understand the point of vertical cards. The marking only matters when it's in your wallet so you can get the right one out, and most wallets are horizontal as banknotes are too. Once it's out it doesn't matter which way round the writing is, with contactless transactions you would hold it at 45 degrees anyway.

The Lloyds (credit card) design is terrible. You can't have words in all directions.0

Mine alternate, to keep the magnetic strips further apart, or the embossed writing not clashing0 -
