Well, maybe unbelievable for many on this forum, but I DO care about card design too.
Of course it's not the most important thing but it still matters to me.

Btw, I received a card for newly opened Ultimate Rewards account and it's still the old design. I was a bit surprised that it's actually very dark blue, although on pictures it's black.

Way back in the 90s I think it was National and Provincial who offered a choice of credit card design images?
It was the National & Provincial.  I had one of their credit cards with a picture of a bee on it.

I know Barclays you can have your own picture on your debit card,

quite a few banks going for this new design usually start off with new customers or existing with a certain account,

I probably won’t be able to get a new design card for a while but see what happens

I've just received a Halifax Reward Debit Card to replace one that is expiring and it's the old design - not those shown on this thread

As I got told by Halifax (on the phone) new design is only for new customers Current account & 11-15 account at moment all others later date, as they rolling card out, can try calling to see if u can get new card,

has anyone who has reward account can confirm they got new card?

    Also lloyds told me this

The rebranded cards will initially be issued to contact-only card holders, then phased in for all other customers. Existing card holders will receive a rebranded card at renewal. So when your card is due for renewal we will then issue the new style card.

Personally couldn't care two hoots about the card - as long as it works! However I have a just received new Halifax credit card in the new design and this is the first time ever I have had a card with a label on the front that won't peel off- wretched thing is covered in that tacky glue (like some price labels) which refuses to budge! Card didn't want to leave the backing card either!

I would have though the old style cards were more accesible for folk with visual impairments as the number was embossed and stood proud

I’m surprised the new cards don’t have a notch and raised dots which is becoming the norm now

I like the idea that your name/card details are printed on the actual card instead of engraved on as the sliver always rubs off, and like it that your details are on the back, wish more banks would do this
