Not bad. Spend £500 on Christmas presents and get £15 rewards.

Just proving that I can still do basic arithmetic.  :)

Where does this show as I have gone to the Chase app and nothing is showing, or is it on the Amazon site? Thanks
  • Scroll down on the homepage to where your cashback balance is , just above it in a red banner it will say "1 new offer". If you dont have it, maybe its a targeted offer.

    Thanks Emma that worked!
  • That's handy, my prime subscription is about to renew. Just added my Chase card as default payment type.
  • 3% cashback from a debit card. Wow. On the same day I get a letter from the Bank of Scotland saying my 0.00001% interest rate is going down.

Thank god for American banks coming over and showing us that things can be better!

I know we are on a money saving site, and I use the Chase card myself for some purchases. But I would hardly describe Chase as showing us that things can be better - they don't even provide DDs or a switching service yet, they don't pay any interest, they won't let you create your own statements like Starling does, they don't pay me cashback for purchases I can get cashback for from my Barclaycard and Halifax Clarity, but yes their promotional discount is nice and welcome by those who buy on Amazon. I just bought something from Wayfair that I could also have bought from Amazon but TopCashback pay me 2.55% cashback for Wayfair, plus I get 1% by paying with Chase = 3.55% cashback. Until Chase offer better deals than UK cashback sites, they are, IMO, not showing us anything really  :)
  • And that is why you have more than one account. Nobody is saying ONLY have a Chase account.

I get 2% cashback at Asda which is credited to my mobile phone bill, sadly I cant register the Chase card with this scheme and get a bonus 1% on top as they use a virtual card number (which isnt yet compatible with Samsung Pay) and they will only provide me the last 4 digits of the physical card number which I use in Asda, so I use a different Visa credit card in Asda to get 2% rather than 1%.

Plenty of British banks subscribe to the Visa/Mastercard rewards systems which give cashback at particular retailers (and often far more generous than 3%). This is no different other than being a retailer most people actually use regularly.
