AUSSIE - I can just picture you with a tomahawk - how brave of you! I'm surprised you didn't sort out your DH's dental problem yourself! I don't mind snakes but I couldn't kill one and as for getting near enough to a spider to kill it - that's way out of my comfort zone! Are they dangerous creatures or do they just p*** you off?!

Your DH should get the wound site in his mouth looked at - it may well be infected.

HARIBO - lovely cards. They look very professional. By the way, you have the same kitchen tiles as my DS2 and his girlfriend, the same weighing scales as me ('cept mine are blue and I keep my bread on them, so I had to buy a cheaper set for cooking) and the same colour scheme as me! Yuu must be such a nice person with exquisite taste!

Well, I've re-hung my kitchen curtains - I had forgotten what a lovely shade of blue they were! I've done some ironing, written out most of my cards, had two phone calls during which I gassed for about an hour in total so now I'm running late. I've just had my lunch so I'm going to go into the village
for a few things, then go to the gym when my lunch has gone down. Then it's back to finish off the ironing, some wrapping up and some work.

Lovely weather here today again. Very cold but bright and sunny - perfect for December!

    See you later.

  • Afternoon everyone! :hello:

My lordie, but it was cold when I left to walk to the station at 6.30am this morning. And I've put tights on under me trousers! :D

Hilstep - great news to hear about your mum.

N9eav - You should get down your local Bingo hall. My dad gave me two tins of Roses that he kept winning (he's diabetic, so he can't have em), shame they're all gone now, I didn't think to keep them for Xmas. :o

Mioliere - sometimes the best thing in the morning is heated up leftover pizza. Mmm, want some now!

Scuzz - 4am! And I thought getting up at 5.30am was bad enough. No chance of me getting in the bath in the morning though, s0d that! I just have a shower the night before.

Haven't done anything OS, but bf is at home recovering from eye surgery and he got so bored yesterday, he cleaned the whole house and even had dinner ready (well, I had already prepared the chicken, all he had to do was bung it in the oven, but he peeled the potatoes!).

Tried to load the WM last night, but bf said that he would do it today. Wahey! He's great really, but I would never tell him that. He might stop!

Dinne tonight for us is pasta, gammon rounds and Dolmio Stir-Ins (last ones as I am determined not to buy them, but make me own from January onwards).

Haven't really got anything else to say, so shall say toodles for now!

    Afternoon all

Haribo - Gorgeous cards - I'll look out for the postman ;)

Aussie - Rather you than me with the snake and spider sorting - blugh - shivers just thinking about it.

Shez - Stop all this gym lark, you're putting me to shame - enjoy your nativity.

What a gorgeous frosty morning - looked like we'd had a layer of snow. DH is home from work today with this nasty sinus thing so he ran DD's to school, much to their disgust as they both take after me and love the cold frosty start to the day.

Popped to asda for some bread and a birthday pressie for DD's friend and snuck into the pound shop before heading back to the car - got some really stunning red glass plates with gold leaf on the back, they're more of a charger size than a dinner plate size but really pretty - I picked up 2 thinking that they'll be great for putting nibbles on, on Boxing day but they've washed up so nice that I'm going to go back and buy some more, they'll look great for dinner parties and go really well with my table runner bargin in TKmaxx last year - at £1 each I think I can treat myself :D

Beds have been changed, hoovered through and just need to get a lasagne made for dinner.

Hope you all have a great evening.

Hi everyone..............(((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

We have just got back from a seminar (I'll go anywhere for a free lunch) on keeping the elderly safe. It was most enjoyable, lovely surroundings, nice short sessions with a 'wee' break in between and a hot lunch.....taxi both ways..can't be bad!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH is not used to eating a hot meal at lunch time and has repaired to bed for a snooze..........me ? I am just about keeping awake.........

Its a nice bright clear day, boy was it cold last night, we have had to switch our bedroom radiator off as it was leaking..........been waiting over 2 weeks for them to come and fix it.............looks like I will have to brave the ladder into the attic and get the convector heater down.............

Nothing planned for the rest of the day................might do some sewing have to do 3 more table mats by next Wednesday......spent yesterday afternoon embroidering cards including one of a golfer loking for his golf ball for my SIL, its is birthday in February, I might just about get it mounted by then!!!!!
