Morning All
N9eav - I noticed less Roses tins this year, they had a few in our local Morrissons this week.
DLB - hope you get a good seat. KS2 at our school dont do nativity anymore so I dont have the stress.
Freezing cold here at the moment, wont bother scraping car this morning will be quicker to walk to school which I should do anyway. OH did his good deed for the day last night and gave his wolly hat to a tramp in London so will need to get him another one.
Hoping to have our friend round later to measure up for a new stair carpet. The walls are stripped - we cant afford to have them plastered and sorted for quite a while but can no longer deal with the royal blue carpet that needs hoovering twice a day. Its a small thing but will make our lives a lot easier. Probably wont be done in time for Xmas but thats ok.
Housework and ironing this morning then paperwork this afternoon. Nothing on tonight but need to persuade OH to take DS to have his hair cut.
Probably Spag Bol for dinner tonight.
Have a great day.

So this is Christmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young
I had an angel in my calendar
Very cold here this morning. N9eav, I wish you'd mentioned the Roses a few days ago, we have plenty in Glos, I could've sent you some. I agree about the supermarkets, they seem to have every choc going except Roses. Morrison's are well-stocked though, as are Woolworths.
I went into the lounge to get my Christmas CD (couldn't decide which song to use today lol) and the room smells like Christmas, it's lovely
Now, what's the point of having a week off work, if everything is left for you to do when you come back? I'd have rather worked last week than come back to madness
I'm going to let the animals have a run around in a mo, I can't bring myself to put them outside, it's too cold. I need to clean their cages and hoover, there's loads of ironing to do too. I'd better have time to sit down and watch Everwood, I won't be happy if I miss that

Morning Everyone!
Its very frosty here - the old scraping of the windscreen!! Bet my washing is stiff as a board on the line!:rotfl:
My DS is doing his nativity this afternoon (inc afternoon nursery kids) & tomorrow morn (with morning nursery kids) - so I shall be doing EXACTLY the same thing as you DLB!!:rotfl: DD is doing hers with tomorrows show - mum and MIL are coming down too! DS was teaching me the "sign-language" for the carols last nite too - they teach signing with all songs they do, which is good i think, but its not BSL its sign-a-long i think?
Trying to book a cottage for Wales for next summer, just waiting for email form the owner. Then I can book the ferry and go across to Ireland for a week to visit DH's relatives etc - very early for us but she already has a week booked out in august and i think my brother is coming over from australia next year in aug, so trying to tie it all in!
NB: also today you can book for London Theatre Tickets for £15 - so shall have a look and see if theres anything good on.
mrsmix - ive need a new sports bra, its not looking white anymore more Grey/blue:rotfl:
redruby - Enjoy Vinopolis its great - and you come out plastered!!:D
n9eav - not long now!
essex-girl - how is your new sofa?
charliesmum - i read yr post - are you having casserole and jackets for brekky???!!
Funny I havent seen any roses tins either - but I got Celebrations.
time to get a move on......have to take ds1 to work soon.
have a good wednesday all!0 -
REDRUBY - thanks for the advice! He has already left with his two hats and two pairs of socks! At the moment, they're painting gates, sheds and fences so at least they are not up any ladders. I worried all the time about that. Luckily, my DH doesn't mind working outside even if it is all day (well, I say 'all day' but they have to pack up at about 4 o'clock because the light is fading!). He's coming home looking really healthy, cream-crackered and starving! I know I couldn't work outside all day but he really doesn't seem to mind. It's the drive home in all the rush hour traffic that he hates! Have a great day today!
ESSEX-GIRL - what a lovely DH you have - giving his hat away like that. He probably made a lot of difference in the life of that tramp. A special (((hug))) for him!
HARDUPHESTER - I had a friend who always used to eat the leftovers from last night's dinner for breakfast. It used to turn my stomach. How can people do that? Your school sounds so disorganised but I suspect a lot of them are like that nowadays. It's not fair on the students if the exam papers are not ready; after all, the teachers expect the students to be prepared for the exams, don't they? It must drive you mad.
Well, I've just had my shower and I have popped back on here for a coffee. The BM is on and the kitchen curtains are in the WM - I can't wait to hang them back up - they always looks really bright and new; well, for a while, anyway! I'm going to try and race through my chores this morning, and fit in a visit to the gym, then I can work this afternoon. I got loads done yesterday, and on Monday, so I'm feeling very productive at the moment. It won't last, I'm sure! Tomorrow I'm giving blood so I need to fill in the health questionnaire today, as well.
I'm going to clear up the breakfast things now and prep the veg then look at the list I wrote last night. I've got a notebook that I write all the next day's chores in and I'm sure it helped me sleep better last night because my mind wasn't churning will all the things I need to do!
Anyway, hope everyone has a lovely day and that all the nativities and Christmas carol concerts go well.

...anyway, Im going to have to dispute this as I can barely move because all joints have seized up and Im in alot of pain. Im not too happy this morning:D
Have the needle nurse due at around 9am, then I have my friend coming round to help me sort through some bits around the house.
DW is on and WM will be on soon.

Morning chums ,very cold and frosty this morning in North Kent, I thought it had snowed during the night when I looked out at around 4.a.m.
Have the hospital today, fingers crossed.Hoping I will feel brighter by Christmas week. My DD is taking me then I am off to her house for the evening. Just about finished all my cards now and have got to get the overseas ones in the post
had an email from my sis-in-law in Dubai and its a pleasant 30c there and she says the pool is great .bah humbug ,if it was't for this rotten illness I would be out there sunning myself ,still never mind who knows what will happen next year.
My youngest DD had a good news ,bad news day yesterday .She had to take one of her sons to the hospital to see the consultant it seems he has petit mal .At the moment they are suggesting he has Epilon for two years . She noticed that he would seem to go into a sort of day-dream and he couldn't hear you for about 10 seconds .These episodes had been geeting more frequent and even his teacher had noticed them.So our gentle Jack has to have medication, and has to go for a brain scan in a few weeks .he was very good at the hospital and never mumred when they took his blood either .He is a lovely little boy of seven, and of all her tribe of five he is the quietest one.
She had an interview with her old company, and she has got a part-time job with them every Sunday and one day a week, she was an estate agent so the extra cash will come in handy with all the children .Her shoe bill is huge every three months with five children to be shod.
Well time I went and got the coffee and porridge on for breakfast
<<hugs to those in need >> and a big smiley face to the rest of you0 -
Morning All
Absolutely freezing here. Sitting in the office with my coat and scarf on. Some selfish so-and-so switched the heating off last night so it didn't come on this morning. I've switched it on, but with only two radiators, it's still cold.
No real plans for today. Hoping to get a nap in when I get home and want a LONG hot bath. I feel I need the stress relief. Getting up at 4am means I almost have to literally jump in and out of the bath in the mornings so I can be at work on time.
Got to pay myself some PIN money too. Got over £100 to go into the bank now - up to £1050 now in total:j Considering I want to go back to Florida next year, that will help a lot!
Hope everyone's keeping warm and is wellComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Good morning everyone,
In a rush this morning, so i havnt read the thread, so ((HUGS)) to anyone who needs one - will come back and read later!!!
Have to go to Mr Ts this morning, need to do a bulk shop (washing powder etc) to stock up, and hopefully i wont need to go again this year, apart from the fresh fruit and veg.
This afternoon is our Christmas play, DDs class is doing Christmas around the world, as they have a German boy, French girl, Slovacian boy and a girl whos parents come from Hong Kong so they are basing it around them. Strange, because the South West isnt normallyknown as a multi cultural area, but for some reason year 5 in our school is!!! DSs class is doing XFactor - DS is Louie!!!! Really looking forward to seeing it all, the school are videoing it and will be selling a dvd for £3, so that saves me getting the camcorder out - our school is really good they say we can video and photograph, and at sports day we do have competition races!!! Not PC, but very VERY popular!!!
Well, must rush - looks frosty outside and yesterday it took 10 minutes to get the inside of my car defrosted!!! (outside was fine, just a kettle of lukewarm water)
Hope everyone has a lovely day - will let you know how the play goes later!!!
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Taking DS to the hospital today for a signing off appt.
Mum was told she can have the feeding tube, it's going to be put in sometime next week. Will make things so much better for her, and I'll have her for longer too.
Thanks to Penny-Pincher for her kind words of encouragement!:T
(((((((((HUGS))))))))) to anyone who needs them.
Have a great day!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Morning!:santa2:
Hillstep - that is good news! (((hugs)))
PP - Hope the house warms up soon and your pain eases quickly! (((hugs)))
Well the state of my house is really getting me down so I must try to do something today even if it is only level 1 on flylady! I think lots of lists may be the key to organising me, just got to make sure I don't lose the lists!;)
The nativity/christmas plays sound lovely Catowen, Shez and dlb. I do miss that stage of my kids lives! How wonderful to be able to take photos still!
I think I owe the house at least 6 decorations so will have to get back to my virtual reality advent calender today as well.
Veg box today! that means lots of soup to use up the old stuff!
Keep warm!
