I got a phone call this morning to say Dave's mum is dying and she wasn't expected to last much longer. So he's gone to Seaford (nr Eastbourne) to see her. I even managed to get my brother in law to meet Dave which is a miracle in itself, as I'm sure you all know how he's been. I think it might have been my tone when I rang him this morning..I practically threatened him to get there to see his mum and support Dave.

I'm just about to eat my soup which I rather hurriedly made this morning so Dave could take it with him. Yes it is purple, I used the purple carrots we got this week from our veg box.

I'm going to do some more packing of the living room and then put the new Christmas tree up. 

I don't know what time Dave will be home if at all tonight but I'm going to do the roast lamb later and plate up a roast with veggies etc. If he does come back he'll have a hot meal at least.

Bit of a weird day today, definitely not the one that was planned.

Hugs Natty.  Good that your glands are going down.
Even if I say so myself, I have made excellent progress with the project today and plan to do more tomorrow around vet appointment and visiting DD.
Going to read the paper now then have a soak in the bath while DH watches football.

Dr did call me back and thankfully it was just the booster jab making my glands swell up. If it doesn't go down in 10 days to call him back.

It's actually going down now. As if we need anything else to happen.
