I understand personally I'm not favourably viewed upon by Santander, not getting past Credit Cards etc Soft Checks.ontheroad1970 said:
Those are the two main ones. I think Santander are more prominent amongst main dealers. I believe they take on less risky debt than Black Horse do.Dandytf said:
I must have missed Santander from google search, instantly recognising Black Horse.ontheroad1970 said:
They are usually a trading name of SantanderDandytf said:Mser's
Now the most difficult part, awaiting finance to be accepted.
Have only seen one hard search recorded, Toyota Financial Services.
Personally not one that I have ever used.
Guess decision could be next week.
thanks
thanks
Black Horse I have long history with them including Personal loans, more recently 63 plate Clio.
Yet they declined my attempted 65 plate Clio, which is why I returned to Arnold Clark, whom since found StartLine.
Here I am, not sure which way this EV is going.

I called for Zoe latest info today, servicing almost complete including charging cable.
Hopefully I'll collect over next week or two.
Starting to view charging sites locally, one or two seem suitable including Liddle's.
I've ordered one 9.95 card, another provider wants 19.95, which I'll order if required.
There's a few portable home chargers online, though no idea if 20M/30Ft is long enough from flat widow.
Is there anything else I need before driving Zoe.

Existing ev drivers, is it normal to leave car in local charging station, and return to car a few hours later.

thanksIt dependsIf it's a slow charger, there's loads of them or it's at a quiet time, then sure. If it's a fast charger, there's not many of them and it's busy then it's not so acceptable.
Ideally you don't want to be there any longer than the charging takes or denying someone else access when you're not charging.

that's very useful advice, I was considering maybe charges over a few hours, could be very difficult in car waiting time.Herzlos said:Dandytf said:Existing ev drivers, is it normal to leave car in local charging station, and return to car a few hours later.

Maybe I'll manage 1--2 hours and I'll walk home and return in this time allowance.

It will depend on the charger, and the rules of the location (e.g. supermarket car park will have time limit).Dandytf said:Existing ev drivers, is it normal to leave car in local charging station, and return to car a few hours later.
thanksAs said above of its a fast charger please don’t block it for longer than you need it!
Some supermarkets do offer free charging (e.g. pod point at Tesco)
As an aside re your earlier post I would certainly not be charging an electric car out a flat window….2 -
I very successfully changed my EV out of a flat window when visiting relatives. It helped that their allocated parking space was right outside their window.grumiofoundation said:

This could be serious consideration, my only known concern is I'm not sure if 20m max cable length is enough.Petriix said:

I'm top of flat roof building 3 floors underneath my top floor flat.
--Edited--
20m= 65ft, should be enough.
2nd concern, I have been told I cannot get 8.5k shower installed, due to type of electric board.I use 7.5K -(Max)
Wonder is this has any consideration, if I were to plug in a portable EV charger.

I think 2015 Zoe 22kw doesn't use Fast Charging.grumiofoundation said:

As I'm going with dealership's finance at this time, prob 8 or 9.9 apr.
Whilst I fully appreciate I won't be accepted for headline rates.
If I were to apply via Mortgage providers Nationwide -from 3.9.
Could a decline or unwanted higher rate, have a negative effect on any dealership offer.
