I certainly wouldn't want to buy a 6 almost 7 year old early tech EV without seeing it.

Whilst it may have originally done about 90 miles to the charge this may now have reduced due to battery degradation.

    thanks mser's

Rec' call from dealership, only 2 in a few miles radius.
I've had to decline taking any further.

Good point is quoted 6.9-7k trade in for 2015 petrol is genuine and on offer depending on visual check via Vid.
I politely stopped as my absolute max 200 per month approx. is greatly exceeded when 70 pounds battery lease is included

it was one Zoey with lease one with owned battery, though both are closer to 250 approx. whichever battery type.
Whilst I understand petrol costs are subtracted, I don't feel comfortable committing to  high 200's range this year.

I'll re check during 2022,and pray I see examples from low 200 per month.

    thanks mser's amazing info.

    2015 Renault ZOE

    Hatchback 65KW EXPRESSION NAV 22KWH 5DR AUTO

    £10,998

Is it possible to check online which charging type and battery if leased or owned.

I'd like to complete this 100% online if possible.

there's another 2015 Zoey though pushing costs over 210 per month 60 months.
Considering my short trips, I'd prefer 22kw's 150 per month approx.

    thanks

At £11k I hope its battery owned. Even if it is, it's still overpriced IMO. I bought a 2yr old 41kWh Zoe with only 5,000 miles for £14k.

It's worth noting that on all leased Zoe's you can buyout the battery and you will get a 8yr/100k warranty on it. This is longer than the 5yr warranty that the battery owned 22kWh models came with.

I would suggest getting a well priced leased model and then buying the battery yourself. On a 2015 model it will be about £3k.

Zoe's generally have little degradation. Just make sure it has had the latest update to it's BMS. I would expect 60miles in <5 degree weather and 80miles in >20 degrees weather.

The other thing to check is whether the car warranty has lapsed. This can be extended after the 4yr warranty for £300/year. If it lapses, it can't be done anymore.

If you can charge from home you never have to worry about waiting for a charge. You set it up to charge over night whilst you sleep on a very low rate EV tariff. It's only a worry if you plan to do a trip more than 50miles.

Avoid dealer finance on used. Go with a cheap personal loan.

    @DrEskimo

Home charging was questioned by dealership rep, I kind off stopped as I'm in 1 bed flat, though non high rise, top of 4 floors
    so a few feet height.

Is there such a thing as home mobile or portable chargers, if so how much space is required as I explained on call, my residents private parking leaves very little space between cars.

Is leasing on the never never as they say, maybe it could be worth checking online, any site recommendation's.

    Thanks appreciated.

I would be very wary about getting such a short range EV without home charging.

Unless you can get one installed at your parking space, I would just abandon the idea now TBH. I had mine for a couple of years without a home charger, but the larger battery helped a lot (range is about 150miles).

Unless you happen to have a reliable number of public chargers very close to you, it's unlikely to work.
    Check https://www.zap-map.com/live/

You are looking for any Type-2 AC chargers. Minimum 7kW. 22 or 43kW are better, but also more costly.

Yes, but not a guarantee. They are often wrongly advertised as 'i' models, when they are leased. Check with Renault finance (RCI). Safest bet is a well priced leased model (<£6k), which you buy the battery out for.

at least 3 charging services less than 1 mile from home.
Is it maybe worth committing to 250/270 per month.

are the leased batteries going to be added onto Zoey finance i.e. car+battery lease as one credit searched finance payment, should have asked from tel call.

    thanks

What chargers are they, and who are they provided by? Have you checked cost of each (£/kWh)?

The monthly cost on its own is utterly meaningless, so hard to judge. How much is the car, and what are the exact terms of the finance agreement? Deposit, amount financed, term, APR, and final payment?

The battery lease will be set up when you buy and transferred to you. If you are buying from Renault, then they both go to the same place, but are separate agreements.
