    to add.

If I were successful with mortgage providers Nationwide loan 6.5k 60 months 119.21 7152 repayable 3.9% apr.
though only 95% approval chance, if not then from 8.9% though I'll run another example.

+ it is 70 per month battery lease with my estimated 9k mileage.

This one is from P.N.E. so 99 delivery charge to closer depot.

    dealer costs with their finance.

    131.93 60 months
    8.9 apr.
    8116.80

    250 cash deposit
    1825 trade in balance.

    seems very reasonable.

None of this is financially or logistically practical.

The price of the car, the battery lease cost, the finance cost, or the ability to own it and charge it reliably.

My strong advice is to keep your current Clio.

Though i'm repaying 2015 petrol clio 185 per month- +50 months to complete as was over 60 months.

Which is why previous number's are very comparible.

Though P.N.E. is gone reserved by other's last night.

Costs are from 10998 approx. which does exceed my budget once battery is added.

I have seen one in 10 min drive via auto trader, similar Zoey 2016 (16) reg.
    28.6kmiles
    leased battery.

8890, though I'd need to sell my own car and repay 5.2k if it's achievable.

I picked up 2-yr old a battery owned 22kWh Zoe, which had barely any miles on (<100 miles) for my mother in law a few years ago for £8,000.

£9,000 for a a 5yr old lease model with nearly 30k miles on is not a good price.

I've no doubt listed prices are part made up of my recent EV impatience. Undoubtedly costs will drop from following years. 2 year old Zoey's are high 20's k range. Nice example appreciate. I'm trying to achieve mid 200's per month if possible including battery lease if required. 1st time I'm seriously considering u.k. wide distances via www.sites. thanks

The newer Zoe's (there is no y) are very different to the older generations, so that's why they are around the £20k mark. The new ZE50 is a 52kWh battery with a real world range of 180-200, and whilst an option on the earlier models, can be equipped with DC rapid charging (albeit CCS capped at 50kW).

The older generation are much more limited and this was reflected in their heavily discounted price. A battery owned 22kW brand new in 2016 could have been had for around £12k.

They're called Zoes (no apostrophe). Otherwise I agree.

EVs with small batteries are very limited in comparison to the latest generation. Personally I wouldn't want less than a 50kWh battery. The increased flexibility means you don't really need to think about range very often.

    mser's zoe's point taken.

Looks as though I'll be revisiting this thread hopefully during 2022.
Costs are above my personal budget, part time hours though not far away as such.

Since starting my questions, at least two 2015/16 plates have gone, maybe up to three including reserves.
Each 22kw,though I appreciated batteries are still in their infancy's.

Up to 270-300 per month inc' battery lease, is unaffordable even with petrol costs deducted.
If and when these lower to 250 range or less, then I'll do business.

I feel my 2015 tce petrol Cio is at peak trade in- attracting up to 6.9-7K
I purchased it almost 3 years earlier as posted via mse 7.5k miles, it's now 14.333k since Sunday.

Does mser's think that EV's have potential of wiping Petrol/Diesel values at some point.

I don't want to wait until this Value reduces greatly.

It's been Amazing EV learning experience.

    thanks

Petrol/diesel popularity is dropping for new cars and will presumably trickle down. There will be plenty of dinosaurs who'll stick with petrol even if battery is better for them so I think ICE sales will fade out slowly rather than implode.
