  • Now you are being silly.
  • Sure I'm reading today that France requires proof of Booster jabs? I wish someone would tell Boris and his Minions that not everyone has a Smart phone. We have our Vac Certificate but after applying for an up-to date one,it came without showing Booster jabs.Like the whole saga from start to finish a very expensive mess thought out ,it seems,to make a few people very rich at our expense.

Yes....in over a month, only for over 65s. So not something that has to be rushed onto apps in the next week.

It may well change in the future but I assume the first and main priority is to get the booster dose in to the arms of those who need it or it is recommended for.   The AP development to show the extra booster can wait.
I thought there was already one country that was saying it would only recognise vaccinations for up to 12 or 18 months (cant remember which off hand)? Dont know if they changed their mind. Certainly some of those in the high risk groups will be coming up to their anniversary in the not too distant future.

If there is a country saying they recognise vaccinations for up to only 12 or 18 months then at the moment at least it would impact only a very very small number of the population.  Those people are likely the same people who would not be travelling overseas anyway because of their age or medical vulnerability.

I really expect this is down to priorities.  I expect the booster will get updated on the AP or on the NHS certificate but in time.

Looked at the other way, can you imagine the outraged Daily Mail readers when they read that the booster jabs roll-out was held up or not given just because the AP software was not yet updated.

I'd rather get the booster programme run at full steam before winter sets in to those in need, plus any 12-17 year old their single jab if they want it - then worry about the AP finitises later.

Majority of the population are more concerned with reducing the transmission of the virus and as a consequence minimising the risk to others. Than the neccessity to travel abroad at the current time. Priorities need to be kept in perspective. Admin can wait.

Austria and Israel both have limits on how recent your vaccines need to be.

Thanks, Austria is 360 days for two jab vaccines and 270 days for one jab vaccines (ie Johnson & Johnson)

Right now it'll be a small number but one that will increasingly grow in the coming months.

The nurse at our GPs is in her early 60s I'd guess and got her injections very early because of her asthma she certainly does normally  travel extensively despite her "medical vulnerability". I know she has only done a little travel recently but that is because of her hubby being out of work

    +1 to above.

For now it is only the full 1st/2nd vaccinations you need to show as proof.

There was an article in the Daily Mail this morning that France might block people over 65!!! staying in their Hotels or using their Restaurants if they can’t show proof of a Booster Jab 😳

Why would that be any immediate concern to the NHS and its app?
