I’m so proud of us. Considering we used to go out for a roast every Sunday, were in C£sta every other day. Had breakfast or lunch out multiple times in a week. And now it’s rare. It’s a treat if we do. And even when we do we’re now much more careful what we order to try and make it cost less.

    This is AMAZING!!!

You may have got be by now, but double check post office is open if you're making a special trip, ours was shut today due to strike action but apparently not all are.

Very well done on all the changes - baby steps all add up, I keep telling myself this!!

Thank you! Post office was shut! So that’s to do tomorrow.

Have had a rather Busy and productive day. Managed to just spend £10 this week on food. Managed to get a cheap odds and ends veg box and had a £10 voucher. Going to see how much I can stretch everything. Ideally I would like it to last until at least Sunday. May be tight in margarine and milk. But I’m usually the marg very sparingly and I’m being very conscious of how much milk I’m having in my tea. But I’m out all day tomorrow so I shouldn’t use much then.

Still hopefully on track with everything.

It’s been such a long week, have spent money, more than I wanted but it is within budget so far. Need to go over everything. I’m finding this is helping me
keep track more than anything else. I’m going to use one of my many notebooks as a budget book. Was going to buy a new one, but I really don’t need one.

Me and OH have been like ships in the night, barely seeing each other in passing between jobs and when we do see eachother we’re so tired we’re arguing. Not the best, were still unsure what to so
long Term. Need to have a lot of thinking time. We need to come up with a plan for next 20 years until retirement really. Some big questions to be asked and answered….

Also I’ve been looking at things that haven’t really worked. When I’ve tried to save money too much, in the sense that I’m making life hard for myself so ended up getting a McDonald’s or not eating a proper meal. Because I deliberately didn’t buy chicken. So I’m going to try and be a bit more switched on when shopping today. I did have a budget of £30 but have run out of a lot of things, like honey and marmite and toilet roll etc, I have some spare change lurking around so will try and make up the difference as would really like to have a bbq today.
