Well it doesn’t rain but it pours. I’ve found a lump. Well I found it last week and I thought it was a bite, but it’s still there, I’ve just had a phone call with the Nurse and they want to see me tomorrow. I’m worried 😢.1

So sorry to hear that @missymoo81. I know it's easy to say but try not to worry as it won't make things any easier. I can understand how you feel as been through it myself many years ago but most lumps are harmless and hopefully yours is too. Glad to say mine was!

So far a NSD. I am yet to go to lidl but I’ll go in and get a few bits later if not all of it. I don’t want OH to come too as he’ll just throw things in the trolley without thinking!
We were going to go to the city today to exchange OH’s pants which are a really weird shape?! 🤷🏻♀️ But we’d have to Pay parking, would have ended up having lunch out as we’d miss lunch and it would have cost rather a lot. Instead I came home and we had brunch, OH will take said pants back on Thursday when he has a hair cut in the city anyway. Really need to keep this way of thinking. I was going to eat one of OHs chocolate bars but realised I have some chocolates left over from last year, which I could eat instead, that way I wouldn’t be eating OH’s lunches. So that has made me think.

Just had an email to say that my phone bill is going up by 3.5%. Seriously the cost of living is horrendous. Am currently looking at alternatives to my plan. Voxi seems like a good shout, at only £12 a month. Mine will be going up to nearly £20 a month for not a lot of data! Need to work out how to change things over etc. I’m not very good with stuff like that.1

Tesco basic sim only contract is £7.50 per month. I and my 3 children all have this and its fine for what we needMe, DD1 20, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/191

Hi missy! Just found your diary. I have found the website 'uswitch' very helpful for switching phone contracts. I currently have sim only deal for £10 per month, which I use with a refurbished phone I bought outright for only £100. Much more cost effective than a brand new contract with brand new phone. You're right though- it's crazy how much bills are increasing nowadays! Hope you manage to get it all sortedDebt free November 20221

Thank you @slm6002 and @sunshine_raincloud. I will take a look at both. I use my phone a lot for work so need to be careful on data etc. I’ve had my current phone for 4 years and OH paid for me to have a new battery last week. Which was great as they cleaned it all too and it’s now like a new phone! I couldn’t hear anyone and have to have it on loud speaker before. So won’t be needing a new phone any time soon. So it’s just the sim. £12 I think will be my limit. I just need to work out how to change it over without paying for two contracts etc.1

I love flapjacks, they are very cheap to make if you use stork instead of butter. You can use basic oats or jazz them up with jumbo oats, add fruit, nuts, muesli, chocolate or whatever you have laying around. Chocolate cornflake or crispy buns are really economical too, it spreads the chocolate out (although I like them best made with galaxy, which I realise isn’t as economical 😬)
Frozen fruit can work out cheaper than fresh if that helps.
I buy pet food in bulk once a month too, but it’s between £200 and £250 for my lot…still cheaper in bulk though and I don’t have to worry about running out.Have you thought of buying chocolate bars in bulk from Am*zn or somewhere similar? I do this and if you get the deals they can work out cheaper for brands, although not cheaper than supermarket own brand.
I also use dove soap and a flannel, but have the lovely scented bars for hand soap. Woods of Windsor Rose soap makes the whole kitchen smell of roses for a while after it’s been used!Edit..I was a page behind. Hello missymoo, I have joined your post. Please can I suggest visiting your local Community Fridge. I use ours and it saves me £ and less going to landfill. bread/fruit/beg/salad/cooked meat/eggs/cakes . Even flowers. Then plan meals around this with top up at Aldi etc

Thank you @WinterWarrior great tips. I do think I might try the soap idea. I think I’ll have a go at making Twinkl hobnobs from this site. I do like a biscuit or 2.
Thank you @tunathe_cat I don’t know if we have one. I’ll investigate. I have downloaded the olio app, and too good to go. So will see if I can find anything on there.Have found some boots for May in Matalan for £9 they’re a bit sturdy looking, but if I get some ribbon style laces too they will look nicer.
I’ve found bundles of clothes for Roo but are a little bit far away so just trying to sort out whether it’s worth it.1
