Banker girl is the summary of LLOYDS TSB (who i beleive she works for).
Full of crap, and just out to wind people up and fleece them for what they have got.
The only good thing about this test case holding up proceedings, is the amount of interst i'll be able to charge back to the banks when the customers win the battle. Roll on that day!0 -

No wonder there arnt that many people on here trying to give a different view, its unbelievable. All ive been doing is trying to share my experiences of what most of you are trying to do, and i get called names, dear me, dear me. Im just a normal girl, who when starting this thread had had one too many people scream at me that "Martin Lewis says..." and i got sick of it. So came on here trying to hear some true views and why people say what they say and its only compounded my own views. I have in many instances tried to help by pointing out how we will deal with complaints only to be told i am an idiot, i am a real person who has my own views, I am not dictated or scripted by my work, in fact we have no scripts at all! I say what u think, and thats all i say, without any name calling.
Because you have nothing sensible to say, you have turned into a Joke with no morals or understandingNo Kylie she has a property with her banker bf and they have a reduced rate mortgage cos they work for a bank
she prob gets her charges refunded to her as well0 -

A troll is someone who doesn't contribute anything constructive or attempt to have a civil debate. They just post insults like this..BANKER_GIRL wrote: »And by the way, what the hell is a Troll? Someone who disagrees with a view or tries to have a view differing from the pack?! Are we really adults on here, sounds like immature playground name calling to me, jeeez!BANKER_GIRL wrote: »I would like to have a frank discussion about how your site makes me feel, which is depressed and ashamed. Ashamed for the poor misguided fools your site attracts and the false, undeserved and unnecessary hope it gives them.
..and thisBANKER_GIRL wrote: »sometimes when I get a person on the telephone who has been silly and thinks he will not be punished for it brings me great happiness to tell themm the charges he will receive. This may sound terrible to you, and maybe I am jaded. But customers take the !!!! every single day and do not care, they are jeopardising their future and, partly because of you, they do not care one bit!
..and thisBANKER_GIRL wrote: »They quote your name.."Martin Lewis says..." and it means nothing to us. They think you are god and it is tragic shame.
..and thisBANKER_GIRL wrote: »I have had letters sent to my office from customers previously in dire straits who I have helped just by simply going through their account and figuring out what is going wrong and how to budget, as some people simply do not know how. And this is simply not the message you convey on your website. You seem to convey the message that customers are in a fight with their banks when truly all we want to do is make sure they do not continue to go overdrawn and hurt their own future.
And also lies like this...BANKER_GIRL wrote: »So our charges are meant to act simply as a deterrent. And for close to 80% of customers this is highly successful.
..and thisBANKER_GIRL wrote: »when the customers come on screaming and yelling and demanding I give them “their” money back because Martin Lewis says it is unlawful, I find my sympathy melting away, and I close down. Telling them there is nothing to say yet that what we are doing is unlawful and that the customer simply needs to manage their money better. This is what the ignorant and often arrogant and piggish customer gets told. As this is exactly what they need to do. Not decide the world is against him and decide he is going to sue us

..and thisBANKER_GIRL wrote:Other than that i must tell you, at this stage no banks are responding to charges requests and 6years banks statements are currently useless, as frankly at this moment you are wasting your time. These will not even be looked at until the test case is over, possibly in many years time. I would personally wait until a decision on the test case is made. And this is true advice. We simply no longer respond whatsoever im afraid.
And arrogant pompus remarks like this..BANKER_GIRL wrote: »<o></o>
My true message is that customers need to take responsibility for their own money and not rely on what you say, You have no real contact with some of the customers you claim to wish to help, and you have no idea how you affect their treatment of bank workers. You have no idea how many times I have been sworn at, screamed at and verbally abused by customers who believe what you say. You seriously need to look at what you saying to people and the message you are giving as it is simply wrong.
Without substantiating any of it. I hope that answers your question

I think you are being very unfair to this ally girl.
I once worked for Natwest and i undertsand completely were she is coming from.
Just because she expresses an opinion that is not shared by the majority there is no need to shoot her to pieces."I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"
For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!0 -

The original terms and conditions i signed to didn't inform me of the £20 a day plus interest charges i would receive for being £5 overdrawn.0 -

Since working at another bank i have been told the same thing..the company come to claim the funds on the agreed day, it leaves the account going overdrawn and gets bonced back to you when the originators computer cannot clear the full funds. And from working with DDS every day i can see some companys will clear the funds and others wont, without any intervention from us. If anyone has any queries you can speak to your banks call center and ask to speak to the Periodic Payments department and clarify this, I have friends in this dept who assure me this is the way it works.
It would seem like you need refresher training on what direct debits are and how they work. A DD is merely a request on a bank account for funds (set up between customer and company who are required to inform the customer how much they will claim and on what dates). When a claim is made if there are sufficient funds then it is paid, if insufficient funds a decision is made by the bank on whether to pay or return. Given the department you work in I am appalled that you do not seem to have even the most basic awareness of this.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang

BG have you looked in the other forums at all.
I don't think you understand the misery people feel when they have debts and then the banks taking charges as well especially at the rate they charge it just all adds to their unhappiness.
I can understand that you get cheesed off with people getting irate with you at work and you have to be pleasant to customers when all you really want to do is tell them where to go.
The thing is this is not the best place to do it, and to be honest part of gaining work experience is knowing when to switch off and just take any insults or customer rants with a pinch of salt.
If you don't want other members to be having a go at you as it were then why not use your experience and offer to help other users on here?
There are many people working in many different professions on here that give good advice so why can't you do the same?
I don't like the way some have berated you but then again I don't agree with what you have to say either, can you not find some common ground?
