THE BANK HAVE NO CONTROL over this. So it is not the banks fault when DDS are returned. Just to clarify.

If THIS is an example of 'how easy it is to understand the terms and conditions of banking' then somebody should point you towards the 'Plain English' campaign.
Can you, in all honesty, seriously expect us to believe that the Banks have no say as to whether a DD is paid or not?
You are 'aving a laugh' at our expense - BG Troll.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

The point is this....they already had the money regardless of terms and conditions.....we also really have to look at just what money is.....and moving towards.
Money does not really exist (as the Rock have found out) and I feel really really offended that what I "earn" and taxed has been abused to assist those actually MORE FORTUNATE than me or others who reside here..to prevent them reaching my lows.
The point is a bank can remove funds at an instant yet delay its return ........if this is not profiteering nothing is.....then they penalise......The years starts today ....0 -
Well all i can go by is what i have experienced and have been told, I once had a DD to O2 bounce due to not having a extra 8p in my old RBS account to pay it, spoke to the bank and they told be what i have written above, spoke to O2 and they told me that yes, they had sent back the DD as the funds were not available when thier computer attempted to clear it. Since working at another bank i have been told the same thing..the company come to claim the funds on the agreed day, it leaves the account going overdrawn and gets bonced back to you when the originators computer cannot clear the full funds. And from working with DDS every day i can see some companys will clear the funds and others wont, without any intervention from us. If anyone has any queries you can speak to your banks call center and ask to speak to the Periodic Payments department and clarify this, I have friends in this dept who assure me this is the way it works.0

Tell me, do you really believe that there is a moral lesson that we're all being taught by your employers? Those same employers who have been breaking the law & abusing the legal system for so long..BANKER_GIRL wrote: »But alas most times the customer recieves a charge they ignore it until its too late. If every customer proactively dealt with thier first charge in a constructive way, treating it as a warning they would not recieve one again. I truelly believe that.
Isn't there just the tiniest tincy little part of you that thinks that charges are a great way to rake in the profits??
Its quite clearly Lloyds who are your employers. I never had an account with them (thank god) but of all the hundreds of people I have helped, they are almost unanimously regarded as the worst of the lot. You're definitely in the right job at the right place though, I'll give you that.

I have not called anyone a name on here, nor stated someone is directly wrong, or called then stupid, or a sheep, or smelly, or anything! No wonder there arnt that many people on here trying to give a different view, its unbelievable. All ive been doing is trying to share my experiences of what most of you are trying to do, and i get called names, dear me, dear me. Im just a normal girl, who when starting this thread had had one too many people scream at me that "Martin Lewis says..." and i got sick of it. So came on here trying to hear some true views and why people say what they say and its only compounded my own views. I have in many instances tried to help by pointing out how we will deal with complaints only to be told i am an idiot, i am a real person who has my own views, I am not dictated or scripted by my work, in fact we have no scripts at all! I say what u think, and thats all i say, without any name calling.0
