maybe you can answer my post now you have some online timeSo you work for a bank and after you have paid the same back the morgage money for somewhere to live you have no money for half decent things in life, dont sound excellent to me. sounds like what some immigrants have to do just to have somewhere to live, i might understand it if there was just you but theres 2 and you only have a flat. i rent with my wife which costs 600 per month. and have a nice car too. im the same age as your BF and my wife is a littl older than you and works on the phones for national grid. i am a support worker. we have all the things we want and are not in debt. if a house crash happens you'll be in trouble in fact trapped with a flat that you cannot live in if you want a family and cant sell for anywhere near what you paid for it. maybe then the morgage charges will start?
i claimed most of my charges back last year. about £1000. now if the banks were not taking that money when they should nopt they would not have paid it back, what have they told you the reason is for paying so much out.
your duluded comments in the OP were funny to me. did you have trainnning on bank charges that day at work ? how can "fining" someone be helping them?If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.0 -
Ditto from me, BG. You have started a thread, which has caused division and argument, rather than discussion, yet you have, contually, failed to answer any direct questions, whether they be about 'your opinion' on Bank Charges or your attitude towards those of us who contest these charges as 'unlawfull'?
I share my fellow poster's confusion.
Over to you.
I think we have reached our conclusion don't you Rog2?:beer:Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

And im sorry ive missed questions, previous to this week as i said i have only been able to get on the net every tuesday and its hard to get through all the posts. I didnt mean to create division, i did want to begin a conversation. I thought id done that. This past week has been an interesting one at work, the new charges came out on the 2nd of the month, and i was surprised and pleased to discover that the amount of complaints i got through the week were significantly lower that previous charging months. And many of the ones i did get were small mistakes incurring the smallest charge which i was mostly able to refund. So the new system seems to be working! As far as i can see.0

Yes we got training, training in how to handle refunds when a customer is elligible and how to explain the reason the customer has incurred the charge. Which was enough for me to get on with. Yes if there was a crash there would be trouble. But i do have savings and so far having only had my mortgage for a few months there has been no problems at all. We will soon have the internet, as in December it was announced that my department will be getting a pay rise which is great news for us. So yep, soon you will be hearing a bit more from me i think. Still no Setanta for him no, haha.0

Does that mean, then, that you will be able to answer the many direct questions, that this thread has generated, in order to 'justify' your view on 'Martin Lewis and his followers on Bank Charges' as expressed in your opening post?
You see, BG, that in order to change those views, you need to put forward constructive and reasonable arguments for the stance that the Banks have taken, preferrably backing those arguments with the 'fantastic stats, figures and comments' that you have alluded to, yet, so far, have been unable to substantiate.
