All of the above Charities are fully endorsed by MSE Martin. Their advice is free, impartial, confidential and professional. I must add that PAYPLAN are also endorsed by Martin, and do sterling work in the field of debt advice - the only reason that I don't do links for them is that they are not, in the strictest sence, a charity, but their advice is also free and professional.
There are, also, many other charities, including Christians Against Poverty, so there really is no need to face things on your own.

I would, also urge you to have a look at the Debt Free Wannabe forum, on this site: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=76 where you will find an awful lot of support, and advice, for someone in your situation.

Thanks for the advise but don't have much faith in the CAB as when I went into my local office the only 'help' they gave me was to go bankrupt!

Sometimes you need to ask to speak with a specialist 'Debt Adviser'.

I thought that £15 a month on a broadband connection was too much of a burden on your budget. You claimed only to have internet access on Tuesdays when visiting family.:rolleyes:
