Kaz I remember a friend of mine telling me that his mum got so fed up of the deer eating all her plants that she bought horse nuts and left them out. Then gradually left a trail to her very quiet back door patio area. If she was up early she would take a cup pas and go and sit out and watch the deer. It did save the plants too.8 -
I haven't finished what I started today, apart from packing DH's bags, but I'm worn out now. DH has just gone off to hospital by ambulance, and I shall have to wait until tomorrow morning to find out what's going on - but it's probably a 'normal' chest infection as his LFT was clear at 5 pm.
Going to make myself a drink and some comfort food and then just sit and watch whatever rubbish is on TV before hopefully getting an early night. Rosie is upset by the fireworks and having to be shut in the study, out of the way of the ambulance crew., so I'll give her plenty of attention too.8 -
Hope DH is ok Ionafan.Spend less now, work less later.9

Morning all
Well done Dancemum! And hope DH is OK Iona, hopefully its something that can easily be sorted.
Bonfire night celebrations with family last night, so lovely to see everyone and both boys came with DS1s GF which made it even better. DH is still struggling with his back but I am glad he was able to go. DS2 stayed here but not sure when he is going home.
Not sure what today brings. I didnt sleep well because I had wine last night, will see how everyone feels when they get up.
We have kept on top of the housework this week so the house doesnt look too bad. I have even managed to get some washing dry outside.

Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Thanks Flyfriends. Just rang the horse piddle and DH is receiving the usual cocktail of ABs. He will be reviewed later and either admitted to a proper ward or possibly discharged.
I fell asleep (not unexpectedly) in front of the rubbish TV, woke up about an hour later, and then sat up until the early hours finishing off the job I had started yesterday. I have emailed it to my boss this morning. It will be interesting to see what he thinks of it!
I now have one load of washing blowing on the whirligig, another ready to put out, and at least 3 more loads to do.
I am going to clean the house from top to bottom while I have a clear run. First, though, I need to bath Rosie as she has definitely been rolling in Eau de Renard.
Enjoy your babysitting duties, Jazee! They're lovely when they're little and sleeping soundly....8 -
