Wonderful news - well done, dancemum! xx
Welcome Ami13 - nice to have you with us. Sorry to hear about your son, hope he is recovering well.
The lawn people sent me a message to say they are coming today to do the autumn treatment, so would I "Please make sure there is no garden furniture, leaves or anything covering your lawn before we arrive." The garden furniture was put away weeks ago. I cleared all the leaves off the lawn, decking and backyard yesterday afternoon and carried them back to the copse opposite whence they came. I removed the "anything else" early this morning (thank you Rosie). The wind has now come up and is blowing more leaves off the big ash tree, grrrrrrr!
I also brought in my geraniums/pelargoniums yesterday after somebody (Fayolle?) had mentioned frost and a neighbour had said that snow was forecast (it hasn't happened). I started them off as cuttings in the spring and they are now big plants and still in flower. I have been so successful with my house plants this year, and I have only 4 usable windowsills, so I have will have to play Tetris in order to make room for the geraniums.
The Treasurer's report is finished and needs to be mailed off this morning. I have decided that now all the paperwork is up to date, I shall devote only one day a week to that job - I have plenty of other things to do that would keep me more happily occupied. I have filed all loose papers and my study/spare bedroom is tidy apart from my ancestors, so my next job is to clean all through upstairs. It shouldn't take long. Famous last words?
DH is complaining of pain in his hip today; also he got his booster jab yesterday and is now feeling sore and generally meh. We were planning on going out for lunch, but it might not happen. If necessary, I can rustle up something with mince (lasagne?), and there is lentil soup that I made yesterday for his evening meal. I shan't get mine until about 9 pm as I have to go out to work from about 6.
Will catch up later. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round xxx

Well done Dancemum.
Not a lot of flying going on here, life is a whirlwind of work and vet appointments.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Well done on needing more poppies Kazw, and how lovely to have a deer that close and relaxed.Huge congratulations Dancemum. They'll be lucky to have you.Welcome Amil3. I hope your son recovers fully very quickly.Listies sort of done yesterday and today. I did the bathroom and shower room so thoroughly on Monday there's not a lot more that needs attention in either room, and I've finally developed the habit of picking up and either putting or throwing away most of the time now. It's taken a few years but I think I've got there at last.Lots of laundry folded and put away, the final load run through the WM which Belovéd pegged out while I was doing the shopping and putting that away.Better is good enough.9

Hello lovely ladies
Sorry I have been MIA, had lots of internet issues which all seem to be sorted now thankfully (touch wood).
WELL DONE DANCEMUM!!
It’s been the usual rinse and repeat here of caring for children, chickens, dog and attempting to keep on top of everything! The washing has dried so nicely on the line today, it is airing off now and smells gorgeous.
Tomorrow I really must tackle the bathroom, and I also need to do a run to the tip. Early nights all round today I think.
Lots of love to all xx

Hello all,
Guilty as charged of being MIA. No excuses apart from work (moving up to 4 days is completely throwing me) and it being dark (not keen on that) when I get home. Flying has taken a back seat apart from on my day off, so I need to sort my routines out a bit.Well done, dancemum! Huge congratulations.
Washing that I put on seems to have dried, so I suspect that DH is having the heating on more than he is admitting to. I have an ironing pile, but will tackle that in the morning as I have the day off for a long weekend with friends.DH has treated us to a takeaway pizza tonight from the visiting pizza van. I’ve just shoved him out the door to get them - all of 3 minutes round trip by foot! There are some benefits to the village being small. I think the bottle of wine might be open too, as it is technically not a school night for me, and pizza preferably needs Italian wine to wash it down.
Thank you to Round for kicking us up the derrière to keep the thread moving 😘
Love and hugs to all xx7
