Round 1 completed. The landline rang just as the kettle clicked off for my coffee. S phoning for a catch up. Good timing.😊

Now supping my coffee and looking forward to getting stuck into Round 2.

Round 1 done.  I might have stopped midway for a second cuppa 😊. 

Round 2 seems to go something like this…
Put on 2nd load to wash, so that the jumpers can dry in the sun in the DR - wm running
Throw out dead flowers from LR before green bin gets emptied today and water plants - done
Crank up the laptop and hope that there are not yet more updates - in progress

Stop for coffee - in progress 😉. In the interests of tidying up the LR as per the lists, I might sneak in a couple of rows of knitting which is lying on the settee. Only 6 more rows, then it is just the joining together. Wooty woot woot.

Birthday list and Christmas presents list written. I've been mse and texted an old friend to ask if she would mind dropping the annual Christmas present swap. It's the only time we see each other now and all our offspring are in their 20s. That will be 3 presents less to source. 

Right, Christmas cards list next ....

Layla trundled and medicated, breakfast scoffed, vet phoned for resupply, travel arrangements sorted out for Thursday / Friday, today's listy completed (I love these shorter ones!), lunch scoffed, stuff put up in the attic and put away, stuff brought down from the attic to sort so I can start the next sewing project, bricks brought in from outside to finish drying in the kitchen, white load pegged out but it's not really drying in this weather, blue load shoved in to the WM so I can set it going when this white load is closer to being dry.

Round 2 completed as far as I'm able: niece's present hasn't arrived yet, but sticky tape, scissors and wrapping paper are ready when it does. 

Also waiting for DSil to let me know when they plan to visit niece so I can drop off presents in good time. 

I'm trying to ignore the urge to WUDUPA another bowl of pots but it's not going away so I'll do that and then cabin in for the night.

Wildlife making me laugh, the green woodpecker is back, poking at the grass, and being chased away from its pecking by a squirrel who then looks to see what is has missed......  11 female and 4 male pheasants at the fence, plus 1 muntjac, all milling around,  I did put old bread and seeds out earlier for them, they will have to make do.

Paid stuff today. DS had 5 deliveries today - 4 of which arrived while the baby was sleeping so we had to quickly open the door before they rang the bell & hammered on the door! Mission accomplished 😁
After she was picked up, DS & I cleared the desk in the summerhouse, and have moved it indoors, along with the swivel chair & some speakers. I reorganised some toys, and swept lots of cobwebs. All with the help of the 3 yr old 😁 Unfortunately the desk is in the middle of the kitchen and the (very large) swivel chair is in the hall 🤦‍♀️ I will give him a nudge in a minute to move the chair at least! There is also 2 very long Swedish shop boxes in the hall so it is not easy to move about! They will be moved when DH gets in, then I guess they are building a wardrobe! It is getting there....

Round well done on your organisation of presents, etc. I need to do this. 
Natty I have sent an email re the card swap 🙂

I think I will make another cuppa while the little man is eating his tea...I will tidy the LR as per the list when he has gone in readiness of chilling this evening 😊

Change of plan - the bowl of pots can wait until tomorrow. 
Pops phoned to ask me if I'd pick up a prescription for him. The cold has gone onto his chest and he's struggling to breathe. Antibiotics duly delivered. He's very blue round the lips - and had to stop 4 times while going upstairs to change the beds!!! No use saying anything- he'll do as he likes. I have asked him not to hesitate to ring me if he needs help in the night. DB is down in Norfolk buying a new boat and not due back til Thursday.

I hope you are all ok, as it seems a little quite around here xx hugs / spoons etc if you need one.

Sun is coming up, email to tell me SS1, his wife and 5 year old all have covid, so they are isolating.

Next door's cat has just chased a pheasant that was in the garden, it could have been free food

I've had to ask for more poppies, but will be out and about this morning.

General stuff to do, kitchen, floor, sort out something from the freezer to eat tonight, plenty of stuff in the freezer, I think there are 2 shepherd's pie so they will do.

Morning, my programming the pellet stove yesterday worked, came down to a warm kitchen this morning, bliss!  So tickets for a show in December ordered, letter for DD1 scanned and sent.  Windows open upstairs.

Bed made, clothes picked up
DW loaded
Lunch made for OH
Showered, dressed etc

Off to close windows as it's cold, but lovely and sunny.  Then breakfast and coffee
