It was a lovely meal, F0xh0les. Neither of us could have done better and we're both reasonable cooks. A little family run restaurant that looks nothing from the outside in a not very fashionable area but the food is fabulous and not so expensive. I'm glad we're able to support them in this difficult time. Himself is so impressed he wants to take me next week. I'm not saying no if he's paying.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8

Evening allSpendy day today as I had to renew the car breakdown cover. Also went to the garden centre for compost and chicken manure pellets, and bought a new shower non slip mat thing online, as my current one is disintegrating (it is all glamour here, can't you tell
) NSDs still 1 / 15.
Decided not to renew our membership of a local attraction as you now have to book in advance to visit rather than just turning up. Related to covid I am sure, but just can't be bothered, so a saving there.Put some items ready to donate to the food bank.Sold some good quality table knives that we don't like because they are so big and heavy. Hardly used, so the buyer was pleased with them. Said it is handy to have some extras with that festival that we aren't allowed to mention yet coming up! 8 went, so with yesterday's composted aubergine plant, that makes 9 / 60 of my decluttering target.Listed some items on freecycle, so hoping that these will go in the next day or two.Grateful for making a good start on my decluttering challenge, and bonus getting £10 for something that was just lurking in the cupboard.Congratulations on the job offer @Calling147 -

NSD #2. WfH this morning then went to the office. Didn't leave till 6.45pm but good for the flexi time and no opportunity to spend. Had a nice chat to my boss and another colleague. Been looking at train costs for trip to the SW next month to get my birthday treat from DD2's boyfriend - £75 which seems expensive to me
Will probably decide to drive as more economical . Off for a quick walk to get in some steps
Gratitudes - DD2 continuing to make good progress healthwise; good day at work; taking time to eat proper meals today

NSD 3. Took mum to get her booster (vouchers for taxi fares). All went well but I kept going dizzy and had to hold onto mum's shoulder or the walker. Very glad of the 25 minutes sitting down before we came home. Had another portion of the the corned beef hash with the remainder of the jar of red cabbage. Mum came into my room to complain as she intended to have some. Did she ask her visitor to open jars whilst she was here - no but I had them all lined up (outside the front window) when visitors came last weekend (the little plague rats had an assortment of bugs).
Been feeling pretty much wiped out so had a restful afternoon and a little sleep. Some more parcels arrived, some from my weekend orders and one from the parcel that was wrong. They've still not entirely fixed it but they don't owe us any money (nil invoice for the items that came today) so reasonably happy (mum isn't but after the third time she said 'but I wanted 3, 2 blue and one red', I stopped listening). They messed up, I did my best to sort it, we're not out of pocket and I'm not wasting any more time on the stupid thing (all from the old lady catalogue).
Two items on latest shopping list but found paracetemol and icing sugar for mum -will need more at some point but she has enough to be going on with. tomorrow will be tidying and getting things ready for Friday (books to go back, letters to post, list of things to buy). If it's okay I'm going to count Friday as one of my outings. I intend buying bacon barms from the infirmary cafe after my blood tests because I won't have eaten for over 12 hours.
Not sure what I'm doing for lunch but will probably eat out. if it's fine it will probably be sandwiches eaten outside (don't think I can carry more than the library books and emergency water in the rucksack), if it's chucking it down I wouldn't mind having an all day breakfast at the little cafe (first in nearly two years) in the mall. The shop with a post office counter (buy stamps and send letters abroad) and the shop where I buy my puzzle book are within 5 shops of the cafe and there's a large post box on a corner, a couple of shops in the other direction. The bus station is at the front and there are benches everywhere. Will take a book with me. Would love to get off the little bus at the nearest point to the park but think that may have to wait. I may buy an anybus ticket and ride up past my old house to a place with trees and grass.
Grateful for extra sleep, an outline plan of action (to be honest, just getting through all the appointments was my big goal for this week), lovely sunshine (would have been a miserable day if we'd been stuck out in the rain0.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -
Congratulations CEW.
A spend day today, haircut after work (get it done every 8 weeks, rather than 6 weekly, so need to pay for 6 over the year instead of 8/9 times). Nipped to T3sco after a girly night at mum's as needed a couple of things.
Grateful for laughs & pampering with mum, having my hair cut (just love people brushing my hair), dropping completed sewing jobs offUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
