Sorry to hear that @VickyA_2 Not something I’ve heard of before, but sounds like it can be managed from what I’ve read, so thoughts and prayers with you. I’ve stuck another 3 pounds of change in my tin.

Autumn is definitely here too!  However, to celebrate there was an unexpected £12 to pot.  I'm not saying no to that!

In other news, I have been told I have primary lymphoedema.  Does anyone on here have anything similar (primary/secondary) that I can pick your brains about?  I have joined a Facebook group, but if there's anyone else I'd love to hear from you!  Please!

Brilliant saving with TCB and all round potting etc, Vicky!!
BTW. If you don't have any luck with anyone suffering from Primary Lymphoedema, why not try YouTube? They always have Drs as well as patients with no end of illnesses, and the comments on both are mostly from sufferers who have excellent advice! All the very best to you with it!  <3

Afternoon all SPCers, I hope you're all enjoying a good day. For those who are poorly, or down in anyway, take great care and get well soon. Best wishes from us all.

I hope you had a really lovely break Ant.
Well done with all you've saved since.

Good for you with your saving LMD

Many thanks Siju, I'm pleased you had such a lovely time with your treasures.
Sounds a very painful brushing! At least you realised what was wrong and took the appropriate action. Ice and to keep moving are both very sensible treatments, keep both up for as long as necessary and I hope you're soon feeling much better.
    Good potting.

An excellent buy with the Teddy Coat and other doggie treats, Hummingbird, and we'll done with the celebration!

Sorry folks for having been missing for what feels like ages. T & I have both had Covid and have been pretty rough, though thankfully nowhere near as bad as early 2020.
I won't be too long with replies though I'm sure you'll understand.
£10 transferred from our bank account to the SPC account.

    Have a good Wednesday all.

    Sue xx

NB folks: The opening date for this year is 27th October 2022, it's NEVER too late to join

That’s really bad luck getting covid again Sue , as you’ve been way more careful than most. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
I potted some travel savings yesterday and a couple more pound coins today

ANY amount potted is a good amount @Hettyhound , always remember that.
I think I’ll be very happy with mine this year as it’s been pretty much my only consistent way of saving and I’ve benefited hugely from reduced commuting costs by being able to work from home a lot of the time.
Another 2 pound coin from my change potted today. Not long to wait now.

  • Good morning potters,

Not long now until opening day, 17 days? I don’t think I will have done as well as previous years due to not using cash but I’m going to go back to that for the new challenge so hopefully next year will be better, and I want to do it the “old” way when I first started back in 2008 😂

I have also been concentrating on reducing our mortgage so anything left at end of month and regular overpayments have gone onto that.

Have a lovely day folks, I’m in UK at the moment and the sun is shining, it’s a beautiful day.

(((hugs))) to those that need them ❤️
