Ant,  I had group photos signed by the whole cast of Star-trek Voyager, Deep Space 9, a Stargate-SG1 group (my absolute favourite series ever) including Richard Dean Anderson's (but not Michael Shanks),  Don Davies, Chris Judd, Enterprise (2 Scott Bakula sigs) Linda Park .....sigh....I loved them but they were sitting in a box in the cupboard and needed to be loved

My Alex is getting very good at this.  He found £1 by the self serves in Tes@0s, he’s closer to the ground than me, at least for the time being.  He popped it in the pot even though I said he could put it in his money box.  I think he’s cottoned onto the fact that this is where Christmas comes from.

Ooh I think you need to sign Alex up @Hettyhound Looking out for roadkill is a great habit to get into.
They we’re some awesome signatures @little_sweetie. When it comes to Star Trek the original is my favourite. There was a real magic about it when I was a boy. For you to have Stargate stuff too was also quite special. My wife is actually a much bigger Sci Fi fan than I am, but I do love the escapism of it, especially in today’s crazy times.
Hopefully Sue will forgive our slight digression!

Good potting, scotmumof3! I hope you weren't in the line of any of that terrible weather!! 😱 Such sadness about those who died as a result of tree falls, especially the 9 yr old little lad, very sad indeed for his loved ones.

It makes no difference to me, Ant, there was no TV in the house my mum and I lived in for my teen years or whenever it would have been. Even if there had been, Sci fi has never my thing, T's either.

As long as you and little_sweetie talk a little about potting, you're still welcome to go off topic now and then, kids should be allowed to have their play time! 😉😁

I've been trying to do as many NSDs as I can in a row, but I did go and get a hot chocolate after work on Saturday. The silver lining is that I've put £1.85 of the change from it in my pot!

Feeling inspired to look more carefully for roadkill. I've not noticed any for ages, but I used to pot over £1 a month in roadkill a few years ago. I think it's where I have children now and I'm busier rushing around. I'll have to train the eldest (age 5)

I managed to drum up 11p which was stuck in the recesses of my purse 😅
Brand new month already! I am joining the grocery challenge so although I have some change from my Mr T visit this morning I may need it to be able to stick to my week's budget. Need to work out how to do this! Is anyone else here on the grocery challenge? Xx

@Hummingbird0_12 I do the grocery challenge.  Don’t start with too tight a budget, always do a meal plan and shopping list (if it’s not on the list it’s not going in the basket) and check your cupboards and freezer before shopping.  I shop once a week and get inventive with meal creations towards the end of the month.  I also pot the loose change in my purse after shopping and whatever is left at the end of the month.  That challenge definitely works better with cold hard cash; it’s too easy to stick it on your card.  If nothing else it really focuses you to realise what you are actually spending on individual items, whether you can swap/do without and the value of cooking fresh at home.
