My husband had a lot of random change in his wallet which he has donated to my pot today! I'd estimate maybe £5

It appears that I do the grocery challenge too Hettyhound, although without realising it!  Ever since my daughter was born 30 years ago, I have budgeted and planned our meals.   Nothing goes to waste and leftovers turn into some amazing creations.  Originally, this was because money was very tight but it soon became a good habit and I can't see that I'll ever change now.  We live 7 miles from the nearest shop, so planning is vital and if I haven't got an ingredient, we either change the meal or substitute with something else.

Just catching up on everyone's posts, sending hugs, congratulations etc to anyone who needs them.  £12.74 in the pot this week.

It's a new month so a fresh injection of pocket money means that the change in my purse has been potted today, around 30p I think.  It all helps!

Just a suggestion, dinglefoot, but as you've been having NSD days to save money, if you'd not bought the coffee, you could have saved the money you spent on that as well as the change! Also, for each NSD you have why not reward yourself for them, even if it's only a small amount each time?!

Look for any ways possible to save on page 1!

It seems as though we both live a fair way from the shops, Siju, in which case I have a list on the go all the time, you can't fail to do anything but!! We occasionally go to the supermarket now that Omicron is the lesser of them all, but I must admit I feel safer with deliveries. It's a difficult one though, as unless we get some natural immunity we're going to be prone to anything and everything. 

The GC sounds like a good challenge though.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm quite motivated with the NSDs at the moment, but I think in the future it could definitely help to have an incentive so that I don't lose steam  

I had to buy some eggs and flour on the way home from the school run today and got a very pleasant £1.54 of change to pot. I looked carefully for roadkill but found none! I tried to get DD involved, but she was too busy concentrating on getting back to my car as she needed a wee

£5 going in for me today, I'm not venturing out tomorrow and that's the last of my weekly cash after a new tyre was required this morning when I woke up to a pesky puncture on the car!

At least I had the cash though and it didn't have to go on a card

Morning all,

I am still here, but have not been on the forums for a while as had a few family matters to concentrate on, namely, elderly frail parents x 3, and a OH who is on long term sick.  I have still been potting away, but I have not kept track of how much, so it will be a nice surprise.

I will try and catch up with everyone’s news.
