Well said @Hettyhound. Speaking for myself the amount saved (otherwise unnoticed) made a real difference.
Had to pop on as I’m excited to have finally picked up and potted my first penny roadkill of  this challenge. Lovely moment when I popped round to my Auntie to drop in some last minute bits. She had found her Mum’s old Jim Reeves records and was playing them.

I'm pleased you also thought it was a fair enough Grand Total. I'm so used to it being up in the £40,000 plus region, but with so many now gone, I can't expect anything else. Still, at least the folk we have now are happy with their lot. Have a really lovely time Hetty!

The GRAND TOTAL for 2021 is £21,878.09!!!!!!!

Not exactly as normal, but I'm still very pleased with it as it shows just how well we've all done, especially as so many members have left us. 😢

Picked up and potted another 20p whilst out trying to walk off some of the ridiculous amount of calories consumed yesterday! It’s beautiful out there, sunny with a clear blue sky. Hope everyone enjoyed any celebrations yesterday. Of course it can also be a stressful time of year for many.

It’s horrible and wet up here in North Yorkshire .  We did junior parkrun this morning in it.  It was Alex’s (and mine) 21st run so he got another wristband to mark the equivalent of running a marathon.  We then came home and have stuffed ourselves ever since with leftovers 🤣

Lots going on in here over the past couple of weeks.

Sorry to hear of the bereavements, so sad at any time of the year, but even more so at Christmas.  

Congrats on the birth of new babies too.
