My energy charges increased by 25% in November. My provider (Good Energy) has just emailed me to say they are increasing prices again in January - electricity charges are increasing by 50% and gas as well though not by as much. This means my monthly DD will have gone up by more than £100 a month over the course of 3 months. Eek.0

I did note that among the changes being considered by Ofgem going forward, as per yesterday's press release, is to review the Price Cap every 3 months instead of every 6, or even do away with it altogether...
Of course, the bank rate has gone up today as well.1 -

Another change being considered by Ofgem https://news.sky.com/story/households-could-be-locked-into-six-month-deals-under-energy-price-cap-shake-up-12496432
Households could be locked into six-month energy deals - The deals, similar to fixed-term mortgages, would see users pay a tariff set by the regulator in the month their contract starts and be subject to exit fees if they leave early

@bristolleedsfan Yes, I saw that as well. This is a decent summary from ‘The Scotsman’. Pity about all the ads.0
