Thanks, but why rely on memory when we should have a website for the actual figures.Mstty said:

SC Electricity 45p to 53p a day
SC Gas 27p to 29p a day
I am sick of the average user £2,500 or £3,280. They are meaningless for any individual wanting to know their own figures based on their actual consumption.0 -
I don't disagree with you but we do have to wait for the government announcement today and how they will apply their discount from April 1st to the already released Ofgem April 1st prices.RG2015 said:

It will be different from Jan 1st-31st Mar as the standing charges have increased and it is not know what the government will100% do until the budget announcement today.2 -
Thanks, but I think you have misunderstood my point. I am talking about EPG for the first quarter 2023 not the second quarter 2023.Mstty said:

Here are the figures direct from OFGEM for 1 April to 30 June 2023, at least prior to today's announcement about the continuation of the EPG: https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/publications/ofgem-announces-latest-quarterly-price-cap-updateRG2015 said:

As Mstty says, we'll have to wait now to see how the announcement changes them.

Many thanks, but I have already looked at this page but couldn't see any unit rates or standing charges by region.GingerTim said:

For the regional rates you will have to check your energy supplier's website, and I doubt they've released them yet. This approximation from OFGEM will have to suffice for now.RG2015 said:

I had thought that Ofgem did the regional prices.
I have to say though that I wish there was a bit more transparency with the figures and a lot less waffle.0 -
For the new ofgem price cap, you can go to this page:
https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/publications/default-tariff-cap-level-1-april-2023-30-june-2023
Click on the "Default tariff cap level - letter".
The first table on page 6 has the regional prices based on 2900kWh electric and 12000kWh gas.
So Midlands is £1653 for electric, which is £0.57 per kWh including VAT
and Midlands is £1610 for gas, which is £0.13 per kWh including VAT2 -

I just found this a few minutes ago by Googling Default tariff cap level and posted on another thread.
I had forgotten that I had done this a while back for the Q1 figures.0 -
Many thanks for your continued help. Now just to be a further pain, I have three more questions.EssexHebridean said:@Deleted_User There is now a thread running on the board which hopefully will eventually get the various suppliers rate cards added - might be worth bookmarking that.
@RG2015 It was only confirmed this morning that the EPG would not be increasing.
1. Do you have a link for the thread you recommend bookmarking?
2. Does the current rate per kWh remain unchanged as of 1 April 2023 now that the Government has extended their EPG to Q2?
3. Does the Ofgem announced Q2 standing charge automatically apply from 1 April 2023.1
