Morning all,
Just back from being flu jabbed at the surgery. I have a flying possibility window between now and lunchtime, then we are off to the uni city to drop off life’s necessities to DD. Including some wine that I see she has sweet talked DH into getting for her.
Just finishing cuppa 2, then I will drag myself into some sort of action.
Hugs to all xx7 -
Morning all xx
Day 1 of my eleven days off. After two days of doing the work of 2.5 people I slept til 8.50 this morning - then texted my Team Lead / friend and said 'I told you I was tired' 😂
I'm up, opened the windows upstairs to let some air through, made my bed and supped my first brew.
It's 3 years today since Mum left us.
How is your Mum, piggers? Recovering well I hope. Hugs to you both.
Ooo Dizzy it must be 'reset' day as this is Day 1 on the road to slinky, saving, planning and organising, at this house too. My two main goals (still) are to lose weight and to finally get to grips with all the clutter and dust and make this home a haven. (At least it's acquired 'home' status, that has to be better than living in a 'hovel' 🙂 ) The organisation and saving will run alongside. One day at a time. It's a marathon not a sprint. How do you eat an elephant etc etc etc. (I always think of Yul Brynner when I type that- showing my age 😳)
Right time for brew 2. I paid the leccy bill on my way home from work yesterday so I'm starting the new regime with no bills outstanding. Rolling my sleeves up to tackle less successful areas in my life 💪
Have a good day. Much love heading out to you all.

Brew 2 being savoured.
Checked my emails and deleted a few. I was looking for a progress report on a parcel that hasn't arrived- the email offered the option of asking Al**a - so I did! The parcel has been delayed and will be delivered on 2nd November. And I'm looking at Al**a with my mouth dropping - how does she know these things? Magicke 🔮😉
While the kettle was boiling I ripped up cardboard ready for recycling and emptied my lunch bag.
It's raining here. Sweetie has decided to snooze. I will get dressed at some point but now I know that the parcel man isn't going to knock I'm going to have a shower, wash my hair and take my time.

Thank you Valli and Kaz. I'm probably teaching granny to suck eggs here, but we find seagulls poddelling the grass on The Hoe regularly - they've worked out that if they do a foot to foot dance the worms come up towards the surface and can be hoicked out of the ground and scoffed easy peasy. Apparently the poddelling mimics the sound/feel of rain to the worms. It looks very odd and I'd never seen it until I moved here but it's a frequent sight round here and none of the other birds seem to have cottoned on to it.Good luck with The Great Reset Dizzy.(((Hugs))) for Littleydog and Dancemum.I did more of yesterday's list than I'd dared to hope. Between us we'd vacuumed the whole house around lunchtime so I settled down in my office with both sewing machines and made some cat toys out of scraps left over from other projects, a wrist pin cushion I've been meaning to make for months, and then crochet'd llthe last of the squares for the current blanket - all during the day. I never allow myself to do those kind of things on a weekday during the day so it felt very daring but marvellous. (The cats went wild for their toys which I'm delighted about as well.) I've loved loved loved this weeks lists and frankly they're about the only length I can manage most days anyway.Today is the first non-rainy day for ages so I've got a load out on the line but I doubt it'll dry much because there's no wind. Lovely sunny dogwalk first thing, though with masses of flights of geese low formations all zooming in over The Sound and heading up the River Plym honking for England.Better is good enough.9

Meh - just lost a post. So pleased so many of you liked this week's lists.
I've had a lovely day. PCR -ve (as expected) so been to town, did a bit of independent shopping and bought buttons for the cardi which just needs sewing up now. Bit of a hiatus when i realised i had attached the back inside out. 5 rows of neckband knitted today and it is done. That's one of this weeks aims achieved. I went to the big charity shop on the way home and dumped all the stuff - including a pack of tea lights (100!) as candles trigger asthma now.
I've bought a LP record (family secret santa gift - we write wishlists) and it was cheaper than HMV and supported a local independent shop, The buttons were from the lovely independent haberdashery and I spent my gin voucher on gin.

Hello all. Hope you're all ok.
Today, I have got the washing up to date although there isn't room for it all on the airer and hoovered through. Two walks for Poppet and Littleydog joined us for one in her pushchair.
And lots of sitting down cuddling dogs.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Hi all
A restful day, sorted some paperwork which I have wanted to do for ages, made pizza and rice pudding for tea, had a little walk when the rain stopped, finance spreadsheets updated, November budget done. Didnt sleep well last night, hope tonight is better.
Not sure what the plan is for Sunday, wet morning again tomorrow.10 -
WAC sentry checking in.
I've filled the kettle, plumped the cushions and refilled the biscuit barrel.
I hope you're all sleeping soundly

Morning all
We had a nice day out yesterday with family, weather was reasonably kind to us so we managed not to get soaked! Pouring down here again today though… plans for today include some cooking, cleaning through the bottom two floors (top floor done on Friday) and hopefully getting out for a while if it dries up a bit.
Cuppa and brekkie first though, then I shall get ready for the day. Hugs to all x8
