Just having a tea break 🙂
So far I have done:
1 x WM
Cleaned the TD filter
WULTD some pots
I am also part way through sorting a tall trofast unit & a coat rack, containing shoes, hats, gloves, coats, bags and general toot! It is very dusty. I have binned some old slippers & trainers of mine, and filled 2 bags for DD2 (who moved out about 2 months ago!) I will wash the hoodie & cardie that were dumped on the coat rack and she can take her coat and 1 of the 2 dressing gowns! That will clear some space. I will then (after cleaning) refill, using the 'container' method and I have a CS bag on standby! There will be some kids wellies & waterproofs that I need to keep handy, but other stuff can go!
DH & DS have gone out to pick up a new TV for his room, so I am enjoying 5 minutes peace! YL I totally know where you are coming from - I never seem to have time on my own in this house! I am not knocking it, as I know I am blessed to have family around me, but just a day here or there would be good!

Unofficially of course - huge congratulations GI!I've spent the last three hours knocking things off my listies, so the cat's claws are done, the sun deck has been de-slipped, a late rail fare claim that's been cluttering up the In Tray has been done for the second time because LNER's admin is a tad chaotic, bricks brought in, soaked, scrubbed and are currently on their second soak, washing folded and put away, things tidied generally and I'm stopping for the day.Have a peaceful day for the rest of the day everyone and see you on the other side, so to speak.Better is good enough.8

HB I didn't realise that I was so lacking in my flying abilities - I have never washed my bricks!! Am I slacking? 🤔😂
WM on a hot wash, TD on. 2 toilets & 1 basin have been cleaned. Corner of hallway has been scrubbed, and unit & coat rack have been put back. I am just sorting through the bits to put back. DH has a pile of hats/gloves/scarves to sort through and I have filled 1 CS bag (so far!) I may make a cuppa, then finish off.
But first I think I will pop to the greengrocers for some salad & fruit and some fresh air! We went to a dinner dance last night and I severely fell off the slinky wagon! Weigh in tomorrow so I need to be good now 😇8 -
Is it too early to start knitting a blanket...? 🤔 I am notoriously slow at finishing anything and want to give myself enough time to finish it! 😂 Does anyone have any pattern suggestions? I am thinking white, maybe 3 or 4 ply? A special blanket knitted by nanny 🥰 If I finish it, I may then do a coloured pram blanket in a thicker yarn?6

GI - it took me four attempts to get a baby blanket right so I say start now!Spend less now, work less later.7

I have a pattern for a baby blanket - think it's 4 ply. Would you like it? I'll take a picture...

done. Both shawl patterns Studkey is 4 ply Hayfield is 3. I got someone to knit me the Studley shawl to give my sister when she was pregnant. The 35 year old shawl is in a drawer upstairs now.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
