Slinks in to mention another £8 spent on a sack of Wilja potatoes - had to be done today, as the last ones we got from the farm shop were awful, whereas the market ones have always been pretty reliable. I don't think I can bear to add it to my total, I'm so far over. Definitely need a re-think... I don't want to put my total up, but I'm constantly struggling to stay under it now. The time has come to tweak the assorted diets a bit.
Echoing the concern for @elsiepac; I suspect the thread wouldn't be wandering around if she were lurking in the background somewhere, just without anything much to say. And she'd have put the December thread up by now, surely?Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)2 -
Thrift wizard - I've gone over this month too despite good intentions. I lost control of my shopping trolley twice this month ..... went in with a list and bought everything on the list and more! I ended up £15.72 over budget but got a refund for £14 because As*a substituted my cats' very posh cat food for .... dog food 🤷♀️. Imagine their snooty faces if I'd dished them up a bowl of doggie chunks instead of their mini filets with shrimps in gravy 🤣. Anyway as I have to go and buy a box of their food tomorrow I'm going to be over budget and I really, really must not buy anything else when I'm in the shop.Hope Elsiepac is ok.3

I've decided that it's simpler just to declare for this month and carry the money I haven't spent over into December which will hopefully stop me going overboard.
So I'm declaring at £67.34/£120 for the month, £19.29/£150 for Christmas preparations and £5.40/£20 for the Baking Budget.
See you all in December."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

Coffee out yesterday - my treat as it was another exhibition where I went free with my aunt, who's a member, and a pint of milk this morning as I used up the last one making Yorkshire pudding. So I've finished over my target of £200 by £4.28. I didn't go into the office today as the heating has conked (their's, not mine). That's happening Thursday now. Off to the December thread.

I’m declaring November on £149.43 out of £180 but I feel like I’m missing a receipt somewhere. I’ve checked my bank and there’s nothing on my card so could have been a cash payment.
