Is anyone else seeing the GC challenge thread floating around in the Old Style board rather than being a sticky at the top as it usually is? I can't tell if it's my settings or not so just thought I'd ask.
PS thanks to @thriftwizard for the good wishes and commiserations on the demise of your market.4 -
I'm up to £197.88 now - including one lunch bought in the week, and a social meet-up over coffee. I've recently downloaded the smartshp app too, and that tempted me to buy a big bag of coffee for the discount. I did score another voucher for next time though. Not declaring yet as I'm out tomorrow and in the office Monday.Fashion on the Ration 2025 - 1.5 coupons remaining
December Grocery Challenge £160.89 of £250 spent
Declutter 7 things (net) in 2025. Done, now trying to keep it even (4 under at present).2 -

£1.21 left til 1st. Will have to eat out for every meal til then (different budget) 😂3
-
@Smoosh - thanks for the reassurance that it isn't just me who's seeing the thread bobbing around on the OS Board.
@carolinerunner - you made me laugh at the idea of using a different budget to get to the end of the month. What have you got left in the bottom of the fridge and the back of your cupboards? Someone on here might be able to suggest a recipe or two to get you there instead if you felt like posting a list.
I took myself to the shops yesterday after getting my Covid booster and spent £11.55 on cheese, oranges, 2x apples, cucumber, radishes and bread rolls. I was rather horrified that the Granny Smiths were £2 for four in a pack but because they were the ones I wanted for Delia's apple pie recipe I bought them.
My new monthly total is £67.34/£120 and my average daily spend is now £2.49."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."
