What happens if you overstay the 90 days when you return to the UK?
I live in Egypt and they just fine you at the airport if your visa has expired.0 -

We can't all live in Scotland.

No need for Facebook groups. All the information needed is on the French Government website.tiddles said:There are several groups on Facebook that deal with this topic (am I allowed to mention Facebook?!)0 -
Unfortunately, the application process is not as straightforward as it should be. I filled in my online application form, on the French Government website on 1st/2nd January. There is a ''Whom to contact'' button which brings up ''404 This page does not exist''. The other button is to confirm that one has made an appointment with TLS, before pressing ''Submit''. I have also registered with TLS Manchester/village_saver said:

I have phoned TLS Manchester (Salford Quays) at various times of the day but they never answer. There is a option whereby they save your phone number and supposedly phone you back within ''several hours''. They do not phone back. I have sent several emails supplying my phone number but no response so far, apart from an email which advised me to consult the French Government website.
From the date of one's appointment it takes 15 - 20 days to process the visa application. I am in danger of running out of time. Then again, at the present time UK citizens are not allowed to enter France ''without a compelling reason''. I will be phoning TLS again on Monday morning.0 -
That only applies for those that are unvaccinatedThomas_Crown said:Then again, at the present time UK citizens are not allowed to enter France ''without a compelling reason''0 -
The French Government website was last updated on 3/2/22 and travel from an ''Orange Country'', which includes the UK, is not permitted without a compelling reason. Tourism and holidays are not a compelling reason.Caz3121 said:

The current website (4 Feb) states
2.1. Movement regulations
If already vaccinated, you are under no restrictions when entering Metropolitan France.
If unvaccinated, you must give a compelling reason to be allowed to enter Metropolitan France.
