Well if we taking everything presented as accurate which it seems to be based on the bills and the meter then it seems likely that some debt would have built up as a result of the low payment and the switch to a single rate tariff.Without that change it would be reasonable to suggest that over a full year, around £60/month would cover things on that tariff if on E7 (small variation based on region).0

How do you control when it comes on/goes off? Timer? Thermostat? How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)0

Can you provide a photo of you meter displaying the current reading please?Silverlining28 said:Sorry just to add this is a brand new block of 9 flats, we all moved in around January.
Brother says as its a brand new flat the meter shouldn’t be anywhere near 2755. He uses about 100kwh a month at his flat.
I checked the other meters in the block and the flat downstairs is on 5251 😯
Just want to make sure you are not missing a decimal point…

I think now's the time learn all about your water heater.
If you're not confident, have you not got friends or family to ask. Last resort get a heating engineer to come and explain it all.
Does it not have any control panel, either next to it or in the kitchen? How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)0 -

Both of those show what should be your night reading, so that should be your water heating doing most of that...Is that consistent with when those photos were actually taken?0 -
Your tank should at least have a big red on/off switch. Can you find one?
This would kill all power to the unit.
Your oven should have one too, does it?
