Victory, I'm not much of a cooking expert and I know nothing about WW but your body needs carbs, I wish there was something I could say that might help. Can you really get no enjoyment from smaller amounts? I'm a bit of a carbie myself as I don't like a lot of veg, but I keep the carb portions down and raise the protein side if poss.
Of course but then I realise or my brain does that I used to have so much more and want it, resent it, rebel and eat it and then it is the guilt of it all and this is me going to be large again, etc etc catch 22 and so I try upon try to cut it out completely and leave myself hungry and then resent that and rebel... I am sure you get the picture:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I have literally swapped carbs for a whole load of veg at night and WW meals that give me the exact calories etc and points so I know that is all I can eat and no more, if I had to cook it and serve it up myself, heaven helps us portion wise what I would eat:rotfl: :rotfl:
gs you are so right
skint_catt YOU GO get the award!!!0 -
according to my scales, ive not lost anthing.
although i stood on it once and weighed 10st 6, stood on it again 10st 3, stood on it again 10st 4.
what is going on with those bloody things! I'll have to weigh myself in boots again.
I just read that and thought 'boots will just make you heavier'!!:rotfl:I am always impressed by people who get weighed with all their clothes on, but boots as well.
It is medically acknowledged that my brain is a bit addled.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Even more impressive when they get weighed without their clothes and just keep their boots on, I think.
(You think your brain is addled? Try mine .... glitter and sticky cotton wool ..... Joseph refusing to hold Mary's hand .... teachers who think the Nativity performance has to be West End theatre standard ... I lied about the reindeer, they were actually on the roof.0 -

bails It was the Gillian McKieth diet that was supposed to be specially designed for my needs. I ate breakfast and then went out and ended up buying bread rolls in town because I was so hungry and light headed.
Well done beanielou on getting so close to your target
Has anyone tried Paul McKennas weight loss plan. My friend has been learning about EFT (tapping) which Paul uses and now can't eat a chocolate biscuit and she is really thin. She was only watching someone else having it done to them. I know that it can be used to prevent you from eating certain foods like cake or cheese. I love cheese. It is my downfall but would hate to be prevented from eating it for ever. dellybelly and jules my GP wants me to go on the Xenical but I take about 30 tablets/capsules a day already and definitely don't need something else that makes me feel sick.
Well done brightonbelle, emmalis, bails, efrieze pixiedust & grannynise
Poohbear look into the Xenical carefully - my docs put me on it about 4 years ago (when they were still determined not to look at my notes and see that THEY and medication had caused my weight gain!) and even now I have difficulty in eating too much fat (and the docs now say I don't have enough fat in my diet - aaaaaargh!), and trust me on an open forum I do NOT want to describe the outcome of too much fat!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

The Dragon, My GP now agrees that two of the medications that I take cause weight gain. I eat very little fat as I have gall bladder and acid reflux problems. I will fight not to go on the Xenical as I already have the problems you (don't) speak of, and I have avoided my monthly visits to my GP for two months now as all he talks about is my weight. I feel like he has some Xenical target to reach!!
I am happy to lose this excess weight in my own time as it is more likely to stay off that way.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Go Poohbear! if you have gall bladder problems then following a Rosemary Conley diet would be your best bet I suspectDo not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

I tried Rosemary Conley 20 years ago after my family were born and it did work then. I think I have a video somewhere. Can't manage the exercises though.

You make me feel so much better grannynise, I haven't laughed so much for ages. It is only 3 years since I was teaching and mine were bigger than yours. This time of year was mince pie making for school functions. 100s each day. BB, thanks for the chart, I lost 3.5 this week though.
Aww I know you did bails. The 'problem' lies in the fomulas built into the chart: you decided last week (very wisely) not to take part in the weigh in coz you'd had a bad week and wanted to stay chilled about that.
This meant that the weight you had put on wasn't added to the chart, so you overall loss stayed registered at 9.5lbs. You did brilliantly to turn that gain round this week but you said your overall loss was now 10lbs, so if I had put in a loss of 3.5 lbs, the formula would have made your overall loss at 13lbs, which wouldn't be accurate. (Sure I could put this a bit more succinctly.) So I feel a rat fink, but I had to enter your loss as .5lb to make your over all loss accurate. Make sense?
But you DID lose 3.5 lbs this week and turned your gain around without panicking which was brilliant :T . Have a great time in Birmingham
bbI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Hi Peeps
Tried to post this morning but ol' lappy wouldn't have any of it  so I've defragged etc etc and hopefully everything's ticketyboo now...
...Thanks Brighton belle for compiling the chart this week despite all the pain, I hope that things will soon start to ease for you...Well done Marion as SOTW :j ... despite the time of year there were some good losses, so well done all of you :j ...
...This self image thing is weird. I'm in need of new clothes, I go and try things on but manage to find an excuse not to buy them. I think I may be doing it deliberately albeit subconciously, I say that I won't need them as I won't last long like this (despite being jolly darn positive that I will!!!). I haven't yet worn any of the few items that I have bought, they just wallow in the wardrobe/drawers. I just hope that I can sort myself out, it really is rather...
...I meant to mention this on Monday - I think that I'm the only one still using a step-counter, but last week I managed to exceed 20,000 steps each day with the average being 23,149 :j, I really am that sad :rotfl: but I'm hooked ...
...Well now, time for today's rather nice festive picture as chosen by my DDxxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

BB, that sounds horribly complicated! I never did like maths much :P
Grannynise, I can completely understand Joseph and Mary not wanting to hold hands! Everyone knows boys smell... I'm thinking reindeer poo could be a problem tho... Just imagine the stink!
Last day of term for me tomorrow! Only prob wtih that is, that at lunch time I'm going out for a meal with the people on my course, then in the evening, I'm out with the rugby team for yet another meal. And did they choose helpful places to go? Did they hell. Noodle bar at lunch, Indian in the evening. My two favourite weaknesses... GRR. Oh well - at least I get all of next week to make up for it, before the Christmas food-fest... lol.**"Cheer up, it could get worse" - I cheered up, and look, it got worse!**0
