Mister_G very helpfully posted on this forum:  "Your TV will have BBC iPlayer (taken from the John Lewis website):

    Freeview Play
This Sony TV features Freeview Play. Combining catch-up TV, on-demand services and live TV channels, watching what you want, when you want, is now easier than ever. It's free from subscription and is compatible with existing broadband services too. Services such as BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4 and Demand 5 are also available without having to open specific applications. This will give effortless scroll back so you never miss a second of your favourite shows."

I had read (Sorry this link does not seem to work:  https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/televisions-projectors-lcd-tvs/kdl-26ex320/articles/00178923) that some Sony TVs not longer supported BBCiPlayer - it was no longer certified although Sony were looking into remedying this.  It is also reported on this Forum. I copied this from Sony UK website:

"From 10th March 2021, the BBC has made the decision to remove iPlayer on some older Sony TVs due to performance issues. ..."

I was conscious of this when looking for a replacement television, anotheruser.
