Symbio new supplier

I've had emails from Eon but no account number. My supply was changed to them on the third Oct. It has gone over the two weeks stated for getting account details. I have also deleted my DD with Symbio.0

I canceled my DD so not paid my advance October Symbio bill.
Seems I can still login to symbio to give my meter readings for October. So I suppose I should do that and also also expect to get an advance November Symbio bill ?
I wonder how long it can be without switching or paying symbio bills till the electricity electricity can no longer be provided ?
Anyone actually got an EON Next account number yet ?
You have already been switched by Ofgem also on that date, why would you send a reading to Symbio who no longer supply your energy?.
No one will be paying Symbio anything,as any debt or credit outstanding will pass to EON to collect or refund as due,you wont be getting disconnected in any case, until EON get their corporate finger out we are all in the same situation.
Must admit Im not relishing paying more than double what I was paying Symbio, with little prospect of that improving in the next 6 months at least.2 -
They say they are hoping to get accounts set up by the end of the month - i.e. this week, and it was reported in anther thread that an Eon representative had said during a phone conversation that they were on track to do it by the 28th.1

I think we (ex Symbio) customers are going to have wait a while yet. I just checked with my DNO and I am allegedly still supplied by Symbio. I did not have a large credit with them as I had only made 4 payments at their "summer" rate. I read my meter on 3 November (i.e. one month into EON.Next) and owe EON.Next just over £60. (Not allowing for the £21 credit from Symbio.)1

I'm in the same boat, although I baled out to British Gas (Zero Fixed Oct 22) and completely avoided E.On. I now have a BG account number, but the app still tells me that the estimated switch date is 25 October, my first meter reading will soon be due and my DD goes out on the 3rd of the month and I'm on the Standard Variable Tariff. However, I gave then meter readings on 25 October and they have them in their records but no DD has been collected. I cancelled the Symbio DD straightaway, which was just as well because they tried to bill me up until the end of October and with an estimated bill. It's all one big muddle. I've given up chasing BG because their app and website always say no agent is available, and the phone is seldom answered. I'll wait until there's a bill and / or DD and then I'll complain if they haven't honoured their promise to backdate Zero Fix Oct 22 to the start date. I almost feel sorry for Symbio because they haven't been able to send a final bill, but I can't send them a closing reading because the end date is yet to be confirmed and my readings may be tweaked by The Mysterious Third Party.1

When Eon Next took over they said that they would let us know when they were instigating the process that led to the national database being updated, and they haven't yet. It would appear that there is no hurry to do so. When I think back to the demise of Yorkshire Energy last December, there was some surprise that it took a month for the database to be updated, and this was frustrating to those of us hoping to secure a new fixed deal in a rapidly rising market.
Of-course the circumstances are very different now. There is little incentive to try to move on in a hurry, and as far as I'm concerned I'm pretty relaxed about the time it is taking. I am wondering if there has been some sort of agreement between suppliers to stagger the process as there are so many accounts from multiple failed companies to deal with - presumably way more than would normally be going through the system at any one time.
The credit I should have after settling up with Symbio will now have been used up, and I am now using electricity I haven't paid for. Eon Next can have the money I owe them just as soon as they send me a bill, but if they want to leave it a while that's fine by me.2
