That's both of my recently-switched-to suppliers gone bust now, in only a month from when I switched (end of August). And the one I switched from (Avro, who I had been with for four years) also bust.
Bill increase is going to be massive.0 -
And symbio has just issued a estimated final bill after I moved to pfp a couple of months ago.
Symbio of course had smart meter readings up until the day I moved, and my photos / meter read on the day of the move, and no doubt had the opening readings from pfp a smart meter reading also, yet think they can give an estimate on a final bill.0 -
Question for clarity when supplier goes bust and new one is appointed…
The new supplier wants a meter reading. Should this be from the day my old supplier went bust (which I took readings on as per Martin’s advice) or from today when they’ve asked? What I’m getting at is when will the new, more expensive rates from the new supplier kick in - is it from the day the old supplier goes bust or is it later? I’d rather pay the cheaper old rates from the now bust supplier!for as long as possible, in which case giving today’s reading makes more sense than the one taken on the day they went bust.

I left Symbio a couple of months ago, and they never sent me a final bill. Now they've gone bust I can't go to the ombudsman, and because I'm not actually a Symbio customer now the company that takes them over probably won't speak to me. I predict annoying hassle ahead.

I don't think there's much in the way of rules about that, so I'd go for Today's reading.

Doesn't annoying hassle come with the territory as far as Symbio is concerned? I usually go with the cheapest supplier, but drew the line with Sybio.JudgeDekker said:I left Symbio a couple of months ago, and they never sent me a final bill. Whichever supplier is appointed to take over the current Igloo customers will be responsible for refunding and credit dueBobT36 said:
Now ofc my Avro account is going to be dealt with by Octopus, but what about my Igloo account, that still needs the final bill + Credit given?0 -
I'm relieved because I moved house 2 months ago, they produced my final bill but despite numerous promises and weekly chasing, they failed to refund my built up credit balance. At least I stand a chance of getting it back now.grandadgolfer said:

Yes, me too, my contract was until end of February. Sad to see them go but from comments on this board I did see that an exit in these circumstances might be a smoother process than switching away from them in the regular way.grandadgolfer said:
