@Brambling, can I report a 2lb loss please. I will be honest and admit I am very surprised by this as I had a couple of very bad day this week! But my good days were very good I suppose. Anyway, I’m happy: a little over 1/2 down the initial 8lbs I want to lose. I have 1st9lbs left in total though.Have a good day everyone.»The road to DF is long and bumpy » Greensaints5

And never, ever, ever, ever get back on to check if you read them correctly. I usually find when I do this that I've gained a couple of pounds in mere seconds of breathing.Brambling said:Well done Bella

I'm pleased that I appear to have lost 2. Trying to avoid the carbs and do the protein and veg at every meal and snack. I would like to try to be good for the next couple of weeks before birthday and Christmas take their inevitably toll. So I'm trying to think what I can pack for my lunch at work tomorrow. I've got the wrong type of ham for a salad and don't want to succumb to making or buying a sandwich. Lots of nuts bought for snacking as well as some plain corn cakes.
I know I would do much better if I avoided the wine but there's that pre-dinner whisper of "just one". And I hope the Baileys left from last Christmas has gone off as I know that'd be completely madness to drink.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Well done on the 2lb Brie

would it help if I said alcohol contains carbs??Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin4 -
No. I know it's all just empty calories, worse than straight sugar. I keep thinking "once life is less stressful....." but of course that's unlikely any time soon. I'll find a way eventually no doubt......maybe if I lose enough weight I will be satisfactorily destressed with half a glass instead of a whole one?Brambling said:Well done on the 2lb Brie

ill probably pay for it next week but for the moment Im enjoying the result
@Brie wine quickly becomes a habit, doesn’t it? I like a couple of glasses one night a week. I include it in my calories because otherwise I’ll soon get sick of this diet.LBM: August 2006 - £12,568.49 —— DFD: 12 March 2012

Brambling, yes I have hit target for the first time ever.
Granted it was a pretty pathetic target, but I am inordinately proud to have reached it. Now to try to keep it off!
Bella, you are absolutely right. Treats should be included. Any diet should be loose enough to be sustainable.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Not wanting to encourage drinking but I find a gin and slimline has less calories than wine 😁 other spirits are available 🍸

Here to report a disappointing sts. Have hopefully stemmed the increasing trajectory though.
Did a radical thing last week though - only cooked half a pack of ravioli and had it w roasted vegetables. So enough for an other day and lot less calories.
