Hi could I join you please? I am looking for a bit of accountability.
I am aiming to loose a stone by Christmas and started last week so have lost 1 lb so far.I am vegan and try to eat wfpbno but while I don’t cook with oil I do struggle with snacking (biscuits, chocolate, toast with flora and jam, cereal with oat milk and crisps). I always have fruit available but it isn’t what I fancy and I have to have the other things in the house for my 15 yo who is a slim 6’1!'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain'6 -

Snacking is never easy - but there are a few things we discussed a few days ago that might help - but would need to check they are vegan certified... When I was 15 I wasn't a slim 6'1! He/she is luckythe rest of us have to battle to work towards it. Human bodies can do some very strange things. Look forward to seeing your progress though!

@cymruchris
WFPBNO = whole food, plant based, no oil.
I had to google it and this article I found is very interesting (although I did spot one oddity - that it's only animal products that contain cholesterol - whereas I've been told by a doctor in the past that peanut butter contributed to high cholesterol, not sure why though)
https://nutriciously.com/steps-easy-healthy-weight-loss/
Anyways - the basic line is plants (fruit, veg, nuts, legumes) are best when eaten in their entirety thus providing the best level of fibre, nutrition and water content. They are good for you and fill you up even if your diet isn't strictly vegan. (as in having a salad before you have your steak.). Things we probably all know but, if you are like me, need to be reminded of occasionally.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. @PurpleJay - Hello I'm sure Brambling will shove you on the list.
Lol, you have listed all of the things (or most) of what I have to avoid to keep my weight down... toast, marg. and cereal, especially the cereal as I'm always starving within an hour of eating it.....

Perhaps quark will work?2 -
I use quark for some stuff mainly as a carrier but I find it tasteless on its own. I do use butter but I reserve it for a very few things and as it is just me I keep it in the freezer to avoid temptationLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin3
