I always thought that the best part of doing a doll house ( or even the grocery store I did for my little sister 53 years ago) was the thrill of putting it together. Once it is done, it is time to start on something new. I was thinking of doing a tea shop next.1

We got the news yesterday that MIL had died, completely expected, she had no quality of life, but it was still a shock and DH is understandably upset.
Plan for today is to take things easy, sort paperwork etc. Luckily MIL had organised and paid for her funeral so that is one thing less to worry about.
I was going to get some washing on, but its very dull and dark outside so I think it may rain, even though it is not forecast.
Breakfast was wholemeal muffin with banana, lunch veggie soup and tonight we will have hot pot with veggies.
I was pleased as I lost 1.5 lbs at my Slimming World weigh in yesterday morning - I've lost 10 lbs in 7 weeks so I'm really pleased, but just have to mkae sure that I stay on planDebt free and Keeping on Track0 -

Thanks for the sympathies.
A bit of a more normal day today. Lots of OU study this morning. Then a walk around the village followed by lunch and then some sewing and watching TV.
Houseworky bits done, hoovered downstairs and kitchen floor mopped.
Breakfast was potato waffle with scrambled eggs and spinach, lunch was some home made hot pot with lots of veggies and for supper its tomatoes on toast with some soup.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Still struggling today and no idea why! We are waiting on a date for the funeral - apparently looking like it might be early December. We will have to travel to London for it and stay overnight in a Travel Lodge or similar, so once I know I can spring into action and start booking our travel and accommodation. Hoping that we just need one night in London. We will probably drive half way and then get the train. Its very expensive to travel all the way to London from Cornwall by train and takes forever. I think once I know the date then I will feel more in control.
Managed about an hour of OU study this morning and then gave up. I really must try again tomorrow.
DH is just lighting the fire in our BBQ hut and we are going to spend some time in there this afternoon listening to audio books and will also have our lunch, potato waffle for DH and then scrambled eggs and spinach - I will just have eggs and spinach.
Dinner tonight is jacket spud with beans and cheese.
Also thinking we might pop out to the pub for a couple of drinks - depends on the weather, so far its not too bad, very windy, but lovely blue sky and some sunshine.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
A loss of half a pound at SW this morning - pleased with that as it was a bit of a rubbish week foodwise.
Got some brilliant bargains at Sainsbogs with their nectar offers - leg of lamb half price, pork shoulder and gammon 1/3 off and Baileys £10 off, also some sherry with almost £4 off. All in the freezer ready for Christmas/January.
We also called in at our local NT property and I had a piece of chocloate cake - first time in weeks - was delicious - I needed a treat
Back on SW diet now!Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
I've felt a bit poorly the last couple of days. I tested negative so think it is just a cold/flu virus - feeling so much better today.
I've done a lot of sewing this morning, I visited a craft fair on Saturday with a friend and was inspired to make some decorations. I have loads of fabrics, threads etc., in my stash so was able to use those up. So lots of new decorations made/in the process of being made for nothing.
Had a walk around the village this morning to blow the cobwebs away and stopped off at the cafe for a tea and coffee.
Breakfast was overnight oats, lunch scrambled egg and spinach and tonight I will have some home made veggie soup - its my weigh in tomorrow at SW!Debt free and Keeping on Track0
