We filled up at MR S on Saturday as well, cheaper than Mr A, for a change. Will get some more this week ready for our few days away next week. Hope you're going somewhere nice, we are off to a lodge in Yorkshire
Oh I love Yorkshire - enjoy.  We are off for one night only to the midlands to attend a dolls house fair/exhibition.  I've got a shopping list of mini items :)
    Ooh that sounds like fun.

Such a lovely day yesterday, cold but sunny and we made the most of it by doing some gardening and tidying up in the greenhouse.

Today such a change, misty and raining and very dark.

    The usual housework done.

Breakfast porridge with berries, lunch open tuna mayo on bagels and tonight its jacket potato, beans and cheese.

DH cracked a tooth last night and when he phoned the dentist this morning he got an appointment at 12.30.  Came back minus the tooth and minus £120!  But, at least the tooth has gone now.

Breakfast was cereal, lunch (for me only) tuna sandwich and tonight we are having chicken kiev, mash and peas and sweetcorn.

We are all packed and ready to go away first thing tomorrow.  I will cook some sausages later and make sausage baps which we will take with us with the flasks and stop off for breakfast on route.  I want to stop off at a farm shop I like to get a few bits and pieces and then we will visit an English Heritage property if there is time and then onto our hotel.  It looks from the photos like an upmarket travel lodge.  We will eat there.  Breakfast is included on the Saturday morning and then we hit the dolls house fair.  We have decided to treat ourselves to a Chinese takeaway which I will order on the way home and we will pick up on our way through.  The set meal we have always does for two days, so we will have the leftovers for our Sunday lunch – that;s the plan anyway.

A lovely weekend away, but now back on the moneysaving.

Weather nasty today, very dull with drizzly/mizzly rain.

A baking day – I’ve baked two loaves and a batch of ginger biscuits.

Breakfast was scrambled eggs on potato farl, lunch cheese and pickle sandwiches and tonight its Bombay potatoes with cauliflower and naan to use up some leftovers and bits and pieces.

A beautiful sunny day here with just a bit of wind.  Made the most of it and put some washing on, its now line drying.  Also did some pottering in the garden and I picked some daffs from the garden and put them in a vase.  A bit of spring in the house.

I also found that some Swiss chard I planted last year had survived so I picked some of that and we will have that for lunch.

I feel really good, just going out and pottering and making the most of the weather.

My friend is coming round this afternoon for our sewing session and gossip.  We will have some of the ginger biscuits I made yesterday.

Breakfast was porridge with banana, lunch is scrambled egg on toast with Swiss chard and tonight we are having Scotch pies with oven chips and beans.

Horrid day weather wise, fog horn blasting and foggy and raining quite heavily.

Got a result on our RAC renewal – now paying £5 per month less and all thanks to DH phoning them and saying he was horrified that it was going up an extra £10 per month!  They gave him a special reduction as he has been a member for 20 years.  Couldn’t believe it – so a saving of £15 per month in all.  Just goes to show what a phone call will do, but isn’t it awful that we the customer have to phone?  Surely they should reflect loyalty in the first place.  But never mind it’s a result in our favour.

Breakfast was crumpets and jam, lunch ham sandwich and tonight we will have jacket potatoes, beans and cheese

Just catching up on a few days posts. Glad you had a good weekend away. We are still away and had good weather so far, but got caught in the hail storm from hell earlier, so now back at the lodge with clothes drying on the radiators and a cuppa. Of course the weather has blown over now and the sun is peeking through.
Well done on the RAC renewal. We are with Green Flag and hope ours won't go up to much in May.
Enjoy your pottering. I have lots of pottering in the garden to do when we get home at the weekend, but the forecast doesn't look to bright at the moment

A spendy day yesterday, but back on the wagon today with an NSD.

Weather was nice first thing so we did some gardening and I planted some of my veggies out in the garden, swede, rocket and lettuce and replanted some more in the greenhouse.

Then I made potato salad and some cauliflower cheese.

Then the rain came and we came in for lunch.

Sun again and we had a walk around the village.

Breakfast was porridge and berries, lunch was spinach and lentil pie with Swiss chard and cauliflower cheese.  Tonight for supper its fishcake and potato salad.

    Housework done.

    Money shuffling done.

    Decluttering done.

A bag of stuff for the charity into the car.  I’m meeting a friend for coffee tomorrow and I’ll drop that off on the way.  I have another bag half full.  If I can fill that by the end of the day then that will be taken as well, if not I’ll take it next time.  I’m seriously into decluttering at the moment.

I’m going to have a go at making one of Jamie’s £1 meal wonders, the frying pan pizza as I have some chorizo and ham which needs using up today.  Breakfast was muffins, lunch potato salad with tuna and tonight the pizza – hopefully it works out OK.
