Bit of a spendy day on Saturday.
NSD today.
Am going to aim for a certain number of NSDs each month - hopefully that will help me keep on track.
Bit of housework today and lots of sewing.
Breakfast was oatcakes with poached eggs and a dollop of Hollandaise sauce. Lunch was my version of a Bunny Chow - which is a South African dish. Basically its a curry served in a hollowed roll/ half a loaf. I made a loaf yesterday and chopped off both ends for DH and I (froze the middle bit). I then filled it with frozen bolognaise sauce. Was the ideal dish for this cold weather. Supper tonight will be some of the sausage rolls (!) and some crisps.Debt free and Keeping on Track1 -
Changed the bedding into our winter flannels!
Ordered a couple of bits on Amazon.
Checked through finances ready for pay day tomorrow.
Breakfast was pancakes with syrup, lunch home made beetroot soup with some sausage rolls. Dinner tonight will be pigs in blankets pizza - using wraps from the freezer for the bases. They are the mini wraps so I think we will have a cheeky side of oven chipsDebt free and Keeping on Track1 -
When I went to work I used to get up at 5.30am and be at my desk for 6.45! Well, this morning had to get up at 7.30 and was so hard, shows how quickly you get out of the habit. Anyways, I had my booster jab (hence why I got up so early). Appointment was for 8.35, am so glad I made it an early one, the place was pumping - so many people. When we went two weeks about for DH there was hardly anyone. So, I've had the booster and so far no side effects so far, not even a sore arm although I did have it in my left arm (I'm right handed).
Afterwards we stopped off at the Coop and I got some fresh veggies and some choccies to put in my advent calendar! Then we visited the village cafe and had a breakfast/brunch.
My friend is coming around shortly and we will be stitching the afternoon away and putting the world to rights.
Because of the cooked breakfast we will just have an early supper of cheese on toast. May also have some beetroot soup as well.Debt free and Keeping on Track1 -
Good to see that you still go to the cafe occasionally . 🥓
Well done on getting the booster. I keep getting reminders, but all are fully booked.
I don't really know what to make of it tbh, as we were initially told that it would stop at 2 jabs . Not sure if I should be worried, but I'm not .I found that after jab no.2 it took about a week to get a couple of symptoms that lasted a few days .It'll be interesting to see if you get any symptoms . Hopefully not ..1 -
No symptoms as yet. After the first jab I got the shivers, after the second nothing, so hopefully nothing this time.Debt free and Keeping on Track1

Hopefully you’ll stay after-effect free Mrs P.I think the original 2 jabs idea was based on there being far less of the virus still about by the time people’s immunity started waning. In fairness they’ve said from quite early on that the vulnerable were always likely to get a booster, it was just us “hale and hearties” that were only planned to have the original two I think, with it then possibly becoming an annual thing after that. I still think the annual thing is likely going forwards, but they’re hoping a further immunity boost from the more rapid booster programme might avoid the NHS being overwhelmed as the standard winter issues also kick in.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Well still no side effects from the booster, so hopefully there won't be any.
.
I have decided to aim for 18 NSDs this month - today will be one so 1/18.
This morning I've done a bit more baking, there is some dough proving ready to make some Belgian buns and a Victoria sponge has just come out of the oven.
The weather is dreadful here, but I've had to put a load of washing on, so will mean drying it inside.Debt free and Keeping on Track2
