I think baked beans are a bit like marmite, you either hate them or love them. Personally I could eat them at every meal and yes, even cold! DH is not such a fan.
No NSD today. We take DS back to the station later on this afternoon and he asked for Cornish pasty for his lunch, so I just popped down to the village and got pasties for him and DH. I am not bothered about pasty, but I did have a coffee at the cafe instead - was a lot cheaper and I got a loyalty stamp
I have some milk bread dough proving in the bread prover that DH made me. Will be making rolls shortly. I will have ham rolls for lunch and will make some for DS to take back with him.
Had a disaster earlier, took my enamel dish with my frozen sausage casserole out of the freezer ready for tonight, dropped it on the tiled kitchen floor where it shattered! Bits of enamel in the food so it has gone in the bin. On the way back tonight we will stop at Sainsbogs as I need more milk and then get something quick to cook as we fancy one of those Chinese or Indian ready meal type thingies. A bit of a treat as is a lot cheaper than getting a take away. TBH I'd rather have the takeaway, but at 3 to 4 times the cost I'll make do with the substitute. Especially as tomorrow we will have fish cooked at home and takeway chips.Debt free and Keeping on Track2 -
Who would have thought an enamel dish could shatter? Even frozen, I would have expected it to bounce ☹️I watch a frugal U.S. you tuber who freezes left overs in glass jars…I wouldn’t have attempted it.
I hope you enjoy your ready meals. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Today will be an NSD.
Brunch was potato waffles, I love them and just pop them into toaster for two cycles from frozen. Much quicker than sticking them in the oven and hopefully cheaper!
For tea it will be yellow stickered chicken Kiev and veggies and potato croquettes.
This week I'm going to try and spring clean one room each day, a thorough tidy up, hoover (move furniture) and dust. Today will be the sitting room.
Finished my quilt this morning so I'm pleased with that.
Now onto my embroidery which will form another quilt, have decided to make it smaller, more of a lap quilt which will be easier to manage. I've also got quite a few big quilts now and only 3 beds to put them onDebt free and Keeping on Track2 -
NSD today.
We had bacon and eggy bread for brunch. Later it's toad in the hole with veggies and onion gravy. Just Supper will be cheese on toast (if we need it)!
Just about to start tidying, dusting and cleaning the dining room.

Up and out early today as DH had his booster jab.
Then we went shopping and got the majority of our Christmas stuff - drink, presents etc. So, its mostly done now.
We had breakfast out, and supper tonight will be southern fried chicken with wedges and veggies.Debt free and Keeping on Track2 -
Ahhh yes, Christmas shopping....I knew there was something.
Well done doing yours!

Today is an NSD. Now need to focus on no spending until pay day which is 30th. I did go "over" this month's allowance yesterday with the Christmas shopping - so need to adjust and pay that money "back" on next pay day which I have now budgeted to do so. Just need to get milk over the next two weeks. Can't wait till next year when hopefully my new budgeting system will be up and running and I will have been saving all year for Christmas and be in much better control.
I persuaded DH to get the Christmas decorations up this morning. So glad I did, the house is looking fabulous and very festive. I LOVE Christmas. I usually put the decorations up on 1st December and take them down on 31st December - I like to wake on 1st January with the house "back to normal". So this year we are early, but what the heck - its been a funny kind of 2 years so why not?
Breakfast was pancakes with fruit. We were going to have jacket spuds with beans and cheese later, but both still feel full from the pancakes, so I think we will just have some carrot soup with toast.Debt free and Keeping on Track4 -
I am also looking forward to a fully funded Christmas pot next year…and am also ‘paying back’ from next months wages right now…sigh! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I also put my decorations up on the 1st and back down on the 31st, like to start the New Year with a clean house.

Oh Winter Warrior that makes me feel better that I'm not the only one. I am only thankful that the credit card is in my drawer, if it had been in my purse I would have used that.Debt free and Keeping on Track2
