ditty - I recently replaced my bike via gumtreee. Turned out it was a local young man setting up his own business. He took my old bike away and gave me £40 off. I kept thinking about cycling to work but the state of my old bike meant that too much had to be done before I could get on it. And I therefore only ever talked about cycling, never actually did it! But not now!

There are also a lot of community events where they will service your bike for free / £5 donation, in a local park or leisure centre car park. Usually council backed, quite often initiatives trying to encourage more women to cycle, it is worth a g00gle anyway. There are charities who solely promote sustainable transport solutions. Just remember the mudguards! Will set out my stall for October later on, I have to dance around my house right now4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Evening turtles
Been a long day at work but i sat outside with a cuppa tea at lunch and enjoyed looking at butterflies and cloudsAlso went for a walk after work. Have taken DD2's coat in for repair as she has almost ripped off the pocket. Called into Aldee and bought essentials - loo rolls, veg, wine and chocolate. Having a chilled eve with the TV and then will go to bed to read.
Gratitudes - hot water bottles, sunny day, DDs having a nice evening

Brief check in (laptop keeps switching itself off). Had a slow leisurely start to the day. Had my pills, changed my regular breakfast (halved the yoghurt, stuffed it with oats). Had a shower, washed my hair and added a couple of extra grooming tasks (all this has been slipping a bit). Hair needs cutting but needed a different pair of scissors (had a basic pair that are okay but not great and a pair so sharp I could take an ear or a finger off whilst feeling my way through haircutting). Had a go with the basics pair, may need a tidy up but a lot of the excess gone. Hair all over me and the sheet but the sheet will be going in the wash.
This afternoon I played with the rockery rocks - I only have ten which is nowhere near enough (mum has painted a lot silver or stuck ornaments on them). Should have enough edging stones to do the edge and the 10 rocks can be used between plants.
From 3 pm I started scraping back the small stones from the front edge and have laid 9 edging stones and used all my sand and cement. Was hoping to order more but earliest delivery seems to be Wednesday. Scrubbed the pavement with water and a stiff brush.
Doing money differently this month. I'm not going to count any money mum spends but will try to limit spend days and reduce my own expenditure as much as possible. Looking increasingly likely that I will need to replace the laptop (only another 2nd hand one) and will still have spending in some areas (travel but mum usually pays for that too).
Gratitudes laying stones going well (moved them on the dolly one at a time, only did the last 6" moving them into place by hand), I'm a lot less shaggy, (no danger of my own hair poking me in the eye), leftovers for all main meals.
Spend day (mum's money). Was going to order more sand and cement mix online but earliest delivery was next Wednesday. Played around trying to find details from local suppliers and have ordered 4 x 10 kg bags which will be delivered before noon on Monday. Added a bucket to get free delivery (bucket was 1.20 but took the total above 25.00 so free delivery, rather than 4.79)My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -

My purpose:
Health - lose 5 lbs - stick to my calorie goal, choose healthy alternatives
Wealth - no more visits to the little shop!
Life well-lived: reduce stress, try meditation, yoga etc
Fun - 3 cinema visits, no snacks
Intellectual - I'm at university so I'm counting that. I want 100% attendance this monthThankfulness - today I'm thankful for my son's help batch cooking, a cosy dressing gown to keep me warm and the cute squirrels chasing each other in the park earlierFood - I have batch cooked enough main meals for the whole month, just need healthy sides to go with
Overhaul - I need to overhaul my morning and evening routines, I wake up late and start my day tired and stressedRead - I have just signed up to my local library and am reading an actual book as well as halfway through an audio bookPlan - 15 NSDs please, budget is planned, bill dates and amounts recorded so none can be missed
Understand - my own lack of organisation makes me cross, especially when I'm running late in the morning. Also having a clean/tidy house makes me happy. I need to keep on top of this.
Rejoice/Reduce - I have some boxes/bags of items I need to get out of the house. I have plenty and don't need to buy more!
Plan for December - my house is very cold so I need to do this! I'll start making a list
Outside - I need to ensure I get out every day for more than the school run!
Stop and be/Simplify - 3-5 minute meditation per day. Or sit outside with no phone. I have so much to do it is overwhlming to the point I don't start, I need to break things down, doing anything is better than doing nothing.
Extend a hand - I will donate to the food bank when I can and ensure I offer help more at work

Today I am grateful for getting dc through the day of online schooling, for the news that they will be back in the building from Monday, for a yummy plum, apple, rasp and sultana crumble I made, for having the equipment to workout at home (dc couldn't be left on their own, so I didn't go to the gym), for a good long chat with my sister.I've started with an exercise session and my first NSD, and I even got outside. I'll take that as a successful day 😎NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5
