Bought a car before seeing it and the actual car is different from the website.

Did you take the option packs, which give you the bigger screen? Which is more like the picture on the Vauxhall website.
“basically we can show you a picture of the inside of a Lamborghini if we like, if your sucker enough to buy a new car which has to be built, we can give you a car which looks like a reliant Robin and there’s sod all you can do about it”

What else do I have to rely on? Other than images they have said is the car I’m buying!? And also the word of the guy at the show room! What else could I possibly do? Please tell me. I didn’t think I’d have to rely on anything else as I didn’t think a car dealer would be able to do that!bris said:Relying on images when spending so much money on a car is your problem not theirs.
You got the car you paid for, without even viewing first. Anything you can get out of them is a goodwill gesture as really they owe you nothing.0 -
The specification list is what you need to look at. It will tell you if the model you're buying has the features you want.
Come on you Irons5 -
It's entirely up to you to ask and do your research. The information regarding the specs throughout the model range is clear and readily available, if you had queries as to what any of them actually meant and wanted to see pictures then it was up to you to ask and find out. You got the car your ordered, it's just that you didn't understand what you were ordering in the first place.AndyHen said:If could possibly see online that there was a different variation of the inside of the car then yes I would just think whups my mistake and put it down to experience but if you want to do a search yourself at the pictures of the interior of the vehicle on the lookers website and believe me when I say that its not that! On the brochure or specs yes overall they are correct but there is no way of me knowing that the screen on the pictures would be different. I've spoken to Vauxhall customer care and they have agreed with me that I should be given the car I thought I was getting. The dealership is just not having it as its in the T&C's. I just wouldn't of thought there would be a section on the T&C's that would say " look we can basically put pictures of any car interior on the website, it doesn't mean that's what your going to get"3 -
Honestly!!!! I did want to see pictures and you’d presume that pictures by the dealer and the manufacturer would be correct! why would I have any clue that the pictures that they are showing would be anything other than what I had ordered if that’s what they say they are!! I did also ask! And was told it would have the screens by the guy! Read my posts! Sick of repeating myself nowneilmcl said:

You only looked at the Lookers site when you tried to claim the Vauxhall site showed a different interior. This was after you'd got the car. You're not going to get anywhere by claiming that a website that you looked at after you'd made the purchase influenced your purchasing decision. As far as the Vauxhall site goes I only see one image of the inside showing this panel. It's clearly a generic picture of "a Mokka" rather than any specific model and even then. clearly mentions two different sized panels. Since it only shows one then you can't assume that is the image of the one you would be getting.AndyHen said:

You appear to have asked someone at another dealership what the interior was like. But then you went to a different dealership to purchase it. If you'd purchased it from the first one you may have an argument, but you shot yourself in the foot by going elsewhere and then asking no questions.1 -
Is this a brand new car?AndyHen said:I'll try and keep this brief and to the point.
I visited lookers Vauxhall Liverpool to look at the Vauxhall Mokka. I was told that the version available to test drive was the SRI version. Test drove it great! loved it. I asked the guy when will I be able to test drive the car I am buying (Mokka elite nav) he said you wont as its not yet made. I said well I could be buying anything what will it be like. to which he replied "well the one you are buying is a higher spec to it will look the same inside but will be a bit more luxurious. Due to having a nightmare with the sales man quoting higher prices even than online I bought the car from lookers st helens. I Took delivery of the car on Saturday, the car looks so different, not more luxurious and has a tiny screen on the where the dials should be not the big lovely one like the one I test drove. Now as it turns out the car I test drove was the SRI nav premium. So the spec does say 7inch screen HOWEVER I looked on the Vauxhall website and it does not show the interior of the car I have been given as it is. I mentioned this to lookers and they said "well that's Vauxhall we're lookers Vauxhall" I then looked at THEIR website and this ONLY shows the interior for the premium (bigger cool screens) no matter which car you look at. My point being that there is no images on any website that show the interior of my car. I believe this is false advertising and I want this to be resolved by getting the car which has the interior I paid for. Any views/ help on this would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!
If so, the spec won't vary between one dealer and another.
BUT, did you look at the Vauxhall Website before purchase and check the actual specification of the car you ordered?
https://www.vauxhall.co.uk/cars/new-mokka/features-and-specifications.html#_new-mokka-models-petrol-diesel
then click "Download Prices & Specs Guide"
You ordered Mokka Elite Nav with 7" screen.
You seem to want the Mokka Elite Nav Premium with 10" screen:

We've been through this. You only viewed the web images after you bought the car, and the guy at the showroom is a guy you didn't buy from, at the showroom you didn't buy from, at a totally different dealer.AndyHen said:

You can't be misled retrospectively, and you can't be mis-sold something by someone you chose not to buy from.
We are reading your posts, and you may be sick of repeating yourself, but from your own account, your accusations of mis-selling are baseless. Vauxhall have simply told you what you want to hear. We could all do the same, but none of that helps your situation. Your best bet - as I advised in my first reply - is to go back to the dealer you bought from and ask - nicely - if there'a solution or a compromise that would be mutually acceptable.3 -
Wouldn't it be easier to simply stop worrying about 'cool screens'? Analogue instruments are generally held to be better from the driving perspective and, more importantly, they are more reliable. I couldn't be bothered to trawl through it all, but the suggested search when typing 'Vauxhall Mokka digital instrument panel' is 'Vauxhall Mokka digital instrument panel not working'. You may have dodged a bullet.0

You wanted an Elite Nav. You got an Elite Nav.
What you should have ordered is the Elite Nav Premium which is more expensive and may explain why
Due to having a nightmare with the sales man quoting higher prices even than online I bought the car from lookers st helens.
