Good evening!
I am sorry I have been awol, but I have been lurking!
Busy busy here! DH is off work this week, and is decorating our room. This involves working around furniture. The wardrobes have been moved out from the wall, so that wall paper can be stripped behind them. I emptied mine in less than 10 minutes, thanks to Kondo-style folding 😁 It took DH ages to do his! 😂 They will need to be emptied again in a few weeks, and dismantled so we can get the carpet fitted.
DH has also given the bathroom a fresh lick of paint to freshen it up.
I have 2 more days of the paid stuff. I have a whinging winnie who can turn the waterworks on and off at will (it seems!) Hopefully she will get better. Having a week off won't help, but as it is only 10 days until DD1 gets married it is tough!! We are all getting so excited!
Lots of money is being spent! 😱 what with wedding - suits, dress, shoes, make-up (I didn't have any decent stuff!), shirts (which proved very difficult to buy as the shelves of the few shops left were empty!!) and bedroom (new mattress delivered tonight); also I have been to the dentist & opticians this week, and haidressers next week. I can't keep up!
A couple of frogs have been munched - a safeguarding audit for the LA, and I have changed my energy supplier (deal ending in October) Payments are 50% higher than I was paying!! And they are the better deals!! The world has gone mad!!! At least it is done now 🤞
Hugs to those that need them, especially Round, asb & Fayolle. Happy birthday Dizzy. Narc0 the swim sounded amazing! GWS wishes to all that are poorly.
I may try to follow a list tomorrow....🤔😂 Night night all!

Happy birthday Dizzy.
Was in the WAC last night as seems I over-reached while pruning and pulled a muscle in my back, had hoped the swim might have helped and maybe it did as it didn't really bother me until lying down in bed. Ibupr00f helped (4am), but slept late to catch up.
More, gentler pruning today - no reaching up and twisting with the big loppers but still managed to achieve a lot.
Baby fairies round the bird feeder today, delightful, very excited (them and me) as they explored the garden.
Arranged for a friend to come round for coffee tomorrow, cue some tidying and flying in the kitchen and lounge. Added some of the prunings (variegated forsythia leaves) to current arrangement of sedum and michelmas daisies.
Mr N had a rather disappointing meeting with RA specialist, seems he has to demonstrate pain according to a tick list scale twice at 3 month intervals. Today he had a lot of swelling in the hands and poor mobility but less pain than sometimes. And these assessments are just to see if he is eligible for funding for the treatment. He's now not sure whether to return to his usual rheumatologist for any suggestions - he can't take a higher dose of his current medication as the side effects are unpleasant at the current level - or have 3 months of discomfort, hoping the joint won't be permanently deformed, before seeing about this biologic treatment.
Did some drum practice.
Keeping more or less on top of admin, another referral from uni for October.
Pleasing email from travel insurance, they have accepted my claim re Mum's illness preventing us from being on a cruise ship right now and the payment will arrive in the next few days.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
Belated happy birthday to Dizzy.
Welcome back, GI. I was thinking about you earlier in the week when I was half heartedly getting a few weeds out of the jungle, aka the allotment, wondering if your’s was in any better shape!
Yet another night in the WAC. Joined at 2am, which is ridiculous. So far this morning, I have:
changed our bedding (on list for a change)
set wm running
put oven shelves into soak in hot water and biological powder, ready for a scrub later.
I have a small pile of ironing to do shortly. The floor is finally being laid in the small bedroom / study later. Although the way DH is going, he will have handed his notice in and given up work before the room is finished. He had better not, by the way…
Back later, I need to write a list or 3. My vague plan was to tidy up the garden, but new neighbour has a shredder or chipper going full pelt, so not attractive to be out there atm.
Hugs to all xx9 -
Fayolle.. I didn't even go to bed until 2:30am! trying to get the stupid printer to accept the new cartridge..
Text from drs saying they want me to make an appointment blah blah results of yesterdays bloods.. yada yada... nah I'll wait for the whole lot to be back.
I never have issues with blood tests but she really hurt me yesterday and the muscle in my lower arm is hard and tender still today.. I told her it was hurting when she did it, clearly it was hurting more than I realised! There is no bruise just a hard tender muscle and pain when I move my elbow, it hurt right up into my neck yesterday.
I haven't yet decided what stuff needs to be done but I may do many knittings.. I'm knitting some christmas bits.. destash and hopefully sell a few for present pennies!
Squeak has the morning off school stuff but has cello (6:30) and orchestra (4:30-5:30) this evening, DS2 is taking her .. we may sack off the orchestra and I will take her to the lesson.. I will see how my leg/back feels.
Washing to hang out..
DW to feed

I've cancelled the rest of this year for us.Very sadly the cat was pts, he was in pain, the area around his eye had swelled up, it was the right thing to do, but it knocked OH and me for 6 completely, cat's ashes are back, he is scattered in the wild flower garden, with my other two cat's ashes which came with us from the old house. I've had to promise OH that if things go badly with his treatment, I won't have him put down! OH is now in a mentally better place, and has had his last cycle 4 IV line cancelled, but had to take the tablets for 14 days, which starts in a weeks time.Been sort of doing daily things each dayHad to buy a new iron as the old one started to trip out the electric plug circuitNew to me / referb phone bought, as my old one won't let me upload a qr code I need, it is about 12 years old so has done well, and it was OH's before he gave it to me.4 x eby sales so pleased12 cucumbers grown and given away the excess amount.Hugs for what ever I may have missedBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Hugs Kaz, I don't know what to say that could be constructive, I just can't imagine.
Just back from work, this morning DW emptied, kitchen tidied, bed made and clothes picked up
DD1 is sick, only a bad cold and sinuses but she's feeling miserable. I have a headache, probably dehydrated so am having a cup of tea and a sit down. Will put the bins out and WM on but not commiting to anything else.
