Last day at the paid stuff for a week! Yay!! I have taken 2 car seats & a buggy out of the car and put them in the summerhouse. One more car seat needs to come out, but it is heavy & I have parked down the road, so it can wait until I can park nearer!
DH has been decorating, and recording some music for the wedding. He played it to me yesterday, and I blubbed! 😭 I must check my mascara is waterproof next week! 🤣
Fayolle Thank you for thinking of me - my allotment has been very neglected 😥 I have only been managing to get down there every other weekend for the last month or 2 - and this week will be the same. We have a lot to do indoors, and appointments (hair, opticians, etc). I am hoping to get there on Sunday at least, and maybe at some point Monday or Tuesday. Also, I hope you managed to fill your car up okay!
Hugs to Kaz & Round
Pigpen & Valli I hope you enjoyed your outings!
asb Hugs to you too 🙂
I had better get some sleep - parkrun in the morning, and I get to wear my new (free) 100 parkrun top 😁
Night night all!8 -
It was lovely to see my friend today.. we had a pigout lunch so I've not needed dinner tonight. We discussed children, nasty exes and freaky partners of our children.. and the good old 'I'm getting old' ailments. She is under investigation for Cushings Syndrome so is quite poorly..I loaded the DW while doing dinner.. My cooker element exploded in a large cloud of noxious fumes and tripped all the electrics so I've been sorting that.. and insurance on the WM and DW which I somehow did not have!
Dot had the melatonin tonight and was asleep within 20 minutes of going to bed.
I've done a few more christmas knittings and am looking for little projects I can throw in my bag to do while at MT class waiting for Squeak..
Round.. so sorry to hear your friend passed away. I hope it was very peaceful,LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
Morning all
A drizzly start here. I think the washing might have to wait yet another day!
I didn’t do any budget work yesterday, instead I got my prepping head on and did a B&M trip for things we use lots of in the colder months, such as tea lights and fire lighters.
DS has been invited to a party today, so I will be sat watching him trampoline for an hour. That reminds me, he needs to make a birthday card, we’ll get on with that shortly.
Other than that it’s a lazy day; pie, mash and veg for dinner. DD wants to paint my nails which is always interesting, and we will settle down with a DVD later.
Take care all xx

Thank you for the hugs and condolences. H's husband messaged me yesterday with the funeral details.13th October - what a long time for them to wait.
Hugs and much love to you all. ❤
I was hoping for a lie in this morning but 👀 wide awake at 6.30, even though I'd spent some time in the WAC during the night. I 'held out' until 7 but my desire for a brew overcame my inertia.
I didn't have any plans for the weekend but L has just texted to ask if we can meet later. That's unusual. We usually, as in always, plan ahead. I hope it's not more bad news. And breathe... Maybe she just thinks I need time out.
Second brew is needed then I'll write my first Round.
Big hugs

Weekend hugs to all xx
Thank you, Round, and to any one else who kept me company on WAC sentry duty last night. I’m thinking of naming one of the cushions after me, after all I am there every night seemingly.
I hope your DD’s graduation went well, Mademoiselle.
Washing sorted and wm running. Definitely using it less with just the two of us here. Well, for the first week of just two of us any way, maybe being a bit optimistic.
DW is stacked full. I will squeeze the last mugs in and set it running.
DH debating hedge cutting, so I want to steer well clear of getting involved with that.
If I can summon up energy, I may go to the allotment later.
Have a good day all xx8 -
Good afternoon everyone. Hugs and spoons in abundance so help yourselves. There's also a pile of sticks for any black dogs hanging around.
This morning I have done the dailies, attempted a dog walk, been shopping in a little village up the road and made progress in the garden. I've harvested all the remaining tomatoes and emptied out the greenhouse. Back grass is also cut.
Very dull and rain threatening now, so the rest of today is read a book day.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Daily stuff doneVery large sack of bird seed for the winter, decanted into empty squash bottles, and large plastic tubs all have secure lids on, hopefully to keep the mice at bay, luckily next door's cat is a good mouse, so I will be encouraging him in the garden over the next few months!New nano phone card has arrived, so busy fiddling working out how my new phone works.Hugs to you all xBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Hi all
Love to Round and Kaz.
We are back, 7 hours in the car today, I now have a niggly headache that wont shift. One load of washing done, more to go in, most of the other bits and pieces packed away. Leftovers out of the freezer for tea.
We are invited to a 1st birthday party tomorrow, and need to collect the dog from his holidays, then it will be Monday and back to the paid stuff.
ASB the really nice thing is that when the children are a little older and childcare is easier you can always take a part time job that interests you and isnt stressful, if you want to. In the meantime I know you will manage just fine. I am still dreaming of the day that the debts/mortgage are cleared and I am not tied to a job that is so demanding.
Might get a shower and PJs on.10
