Love to Kaz. Well done ASB.
Not much flying getting done here. Just the basics as work is so busy.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Hugs to Kaz xx. Well done asb xx
Sad news: my friend left us on Friday after phoning me on the Monday. Sleep well my friend. ❤
Good news: DB is home and still aching after the lumbar puncture, but he says he's fine.
Flying news: I bought a 2022 calendar today. I've ordered some bath bombs from a colleague's daughter - so that's the Christmas shopping started. Binmen have emptied the cans / glass recycling box - there wasn't much in the general waste bin so I didn't put it out. I gave a colleague a cardboard box that I've had in my car for months - it was the perfect size for the saddle she wanted to post. I'm joining my colleagues in a Tac0 Bell lunch tomorrow - whatever that is 🤣 so I won't need pack up tomorrow.
Hugs to everyone

Huge hugs, Round xx As I said to Kaz, you know where to get hold of me to offload x
Well done, ASB. You are brave and following your heart and your head. Sleep well tonight, I don’t want to meet you in the WAC xx
Green garden waste bin filled to the brim. It must be a year since I went for it in the back garden. Many more bins to go. Chicken pie dinner cooked, along with the inevitable home grown veg. Chicken was LO out of the freezer, but still no visible space in there. Pack up done for tomorrow. I need to fill the car with petrol on my way to work.
I’m going to tackle a few more rows of the hated knitting now - slightly decreasing now, so surely the end is in sight?11 -
Very sorry to hear about your friend, Round x
Very sorry to hear about your cat, Kaz x
Well done on taking that major step, asb x
Well done on surviving your lodger, Honey Bear x
(((Hugs))) all round.
I got the bagless thingy working this morning and also S&S'd the kitchen. Apart from that, I have emptied the can of nasty stuff into the wasps' nest under the window; bought a jumper and some PJs and done the weekly food shop; dealt with various phonecalls, including an hour chatting with DS2; and didn't take Rosie for her walk until it was getting dark. On paper, not as productive as yesterday, but I feel as if I've hardly stopped all day.
Tomorrow we are going to a Macmillan coffee morning and then on out for lunch at a nice GC, if the sneezing fit that I had a few minutes ago doesn't develop into something worse.
G'night all.9 -
Huge hugs Kaz
Sad news Round
Crazy busy to just about keeping up with S&S. Weekend won't be quiet as it's the birthday of DS and his beloved and fabulous mater.
Trip out this morning with 26 littlies most of whom have never been on a bus/coach so THAT'S what they're excited about! It's a PE event.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear7 -
Morning all
That is so very sad Round xxx
Valli - enjoy your morning xx
Fayolle - alas yes I was there from 1.55am onwards! xx
I am worn out but in a relieved way this morning. The meeting was fine, she was very kind, and I cried a lot despite telling myself I wouldn't. Today is very much a day of lists, budgeting, drinking tea, re-budgeting, trying not to panic, drinking more tea.... etc. We WILL be fine, I know we will. We have started well - went to the local foodshare which distributes the food that would otherwise go to landfill. We have loads of bread, cereal and F&V, so no spends needed this weekend at all.
We are meant to be meeting my mum tomorrow and staying over, I am going to LFT all of us this evening because mum is in ill health and some children in DDs class are off with it.
Right I had better shake a leg, the porridge pan beckons!9 -
Valli I remember my first school trip. We were to travel by coach. I was so disappointed when the coach arrived and wasn’t a Cinderella type one. 😀
Kaz So sorry about kitty. Continued successful treatment vibes for your DH and some hugs for you.
HB Glad you have seen the back of troublesome lodger. Hope Layla is recovering well form her op. We are visiting friends for a few days next week not far from you. I will give you a wave.
Round Sorry about your friend x
I’m off to dancegran’s soon as the last of the trains are being collected. We are nearly ready to put the house on the market. My brother in law said he would paint a couple of rooms whilst I’m away.
