  • There’s no guarantee but you are on the only forum that, since we started counting in 2015, has consistently seen wins and discontinuances in some 99% of reported outcomes for all those years.

The articles are great evidence and getting the venue now to confirm in writing/email, that HX were removed (if they were) or their contract was not renewed and why, would be even better.
From Cartmel Racecourse. "Once HX’s contract was up and we decided to move over to Park with Ease – they seemed to operate more car parks in the local area."
I've had no answer from Holker Group!

Reply and send them the newspaper articles and state that clearly their client’s machines were negligently or deliberately set up to fail, and the fact that HX have been removed from the site and replaced by a new parking firm who are not causing such complaints, supports your defence.

Also, I am posting on a phone so can’t see cached Google results but can anyone find the way back/cached page for this?

    https://hx-pcn.com/manage-my-pcn/faqs/

HX are now cheerfully saying they allow ONE digit VRM error only, but I think their page used to say up to three digits, a few months ago. Might be wrong but can anyone find it?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You are almost right - two digits.

As recently as 20th January 2021 it used to say...
It had changed to '1digit' by 10 April 2021.

And for completeness, this is what it says today...

A 2019 court case for a different Cumbria Car Park, (Workington), "run" by HX with the identical problem-what are the chances of that!

(Note the Judge's comment about the time spent trying to use the machine; it's not counted as parking time).

Somewhat dated now, although the general thrust still has relevance. There has been some soft-shoe shuffling by Davies and Hurley in an attempt to disentangle themselves from each other and the two organisations - each now, on paper, having a solo role, one in each of the two.  Just another example of the smoke and mirrors that infest and poison this sector.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I went straight to Companies House which has Hurley still attached to both, regardless of a resignation from one.
