I've done some price comparisons and Eon can offer me around £75/pcm. In the meantime, the cheapest quote I got from EDF's site was around £105/pcm. Ouch!

Only decent deal still around as of today I found was Sainsburys Energy 2 year fix with 120000 nectar points (worth £60) but that will be pulled shortlypoppellerant said:I've done some price comparisons and Eon can offer me around £75/pcm. Unfortunately I could not use it as they don't do gas only & both my UP accounts are gas only
On one of my UP accounts I've only recently joined & have a low credit balance so I was prepared to move immediately rather than wait for my account to be moved to EDF which will probably take months (GNE to EDF took 5 months)
I wouldnt advise trying to move now for a better deal for people with high credit balances as it may be very difficult to get it back if you dont use the SOLR process - there are also other potential issues which can occur but I wont mention them here
Basically we going to be paying EDF's standard variable rate through the winter & its going to increase whenever the price cap is increased

I intend to switch as soon as my gas shows as registered on Find My Supplier's website. My small experiences with EDF's offshore call centre were enough, especially given the extortionate prices that they charge.Inigo_Montoya said:

As already documented I am £100 in credit. TBH I'm with you on this and will switch as soon as the supplier has changed to EDF. Leaving it too long it could easily cost me more than this amount I am owed.poppellerant said:

Basically we going to be paying EDF's standard variable rate through the winter & its going to increase whenever the price cap is increasedMy main concern is that I agreed a price with Utility Point to install my isolator switch. They told me that their half day's labour price of £152.50 is divided by four and I am charged this, plus the cost of the switch, with VAT being finally added. The engineer was here just over an hour, so worst case scenario I expect to pay for two hours work, which is £76.25 before labour and the cost of the switch.I don't fancy my chances arguing this out with an offshore call centre, but I also want to pay it.1 -
Wouldn't you be discussing this with the UP administrators or liquidators rather than EDF though, since it's probably not counted as part of the energy supply transfer?poppellerant said:CRISPIANNE3 said:

£600 credit here, which I suspect is only going to be guaranteed to be safe if I allow the switch to EDF to complete.CRISPIANNE3 said:

£1650 pa with UP, but lowest price around at the moment is around £2400 so it's possible the EDF capped rate will be lower anyway.1 -
If the EDF’s Deemed tariff posted earlier is anywhere close to what UP customers are been put on then prices are set to rise. Very frustrating to be locked in whilst this is going on at the best of times.----Utility Point Just Join UP 12M Fixed Wk46GasPrice p/kWh 2.089pStanding Charge /day 20.642pElectricityPrice p/kWh 12.597pStanding Charge /day 21.274p-----EDF Standard Variable electricity and gas - Credit prices (Direct Debit) - North WestGasPrice p/kWh 4.043p (+93%)Standing Charge /day 26.12p (+26%)ElectricityPrice p/kWh 20.14p (+59%)Standing Charge /day 24.39p (+15%)----Supper annoying that this is still guess work until EDF write to us and Ofcom/EDF can't just put the details in the FAQ's / Press Release.

Not your fault, obviously, but looking at those prices it's no surprise that UP went bust.someone said:Utility Point Just Join UP 12M Fixed Wk46GasPrice p/kWh 2.089p Standing Charge /day 20.642pElectricityPrice p/kWh 12.597p Standing Charge /day 21.274p
