Thanks Ed, and well done on Prolific-ing 😀! I seem to recall (and I may be totally wrong on this) that they insist on a minimum reward of £5/hour. I certainly get some sometimes where I get a separate uplift because it was paying less than their recommended amountMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed
Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!5 -
@savingholmes - good shout, I don't do anything credit score altering for at least 6 months before mortgage malarkey3

SC, yes, I think all current account applications will require a hard search, even without overdraft request.
Ed, I think I received an email last month that said that prolific had upped the minimum hourly rate to £6.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Hmmm, some have, some haven't, bit of a roulette as you don't know in advance! I'm calling time for now, as I might be applying for credit soon. Still, had £445 from 3 switches so not all bad!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Just catching up, I hear you on the emotional eating ed! That and work triggering it, I hope that work is getting better for you4

@killerpeaty - thanks for that. Work is getting closer to normal, although I don't think it will ever be good. It's very dry work and while it can be intellectually stimulating, we have a backlog of some rather routine reviews that may take multiple years to clear. It's hard to be motivated when you know you're over a year out of date through no fault of your own!
This morning I've done some of the month end housework binge, some tiny, some more faffy. Razor blade changed (Mrs E and I share a double edged safety razor), dishwasher emptied and cleaned, dishes hand washed, washing machine cleaned, tumble dryer cleaned, recycling and bins taken out, kitchen swept, toilet rolls stocked up, cat food tubs cleaned and topped up. Still got sink drains to clean with soda crystals, worktops to wipe, mopping etc.
Ordered a few bits and bobs for Mrs E, DD1 and DD2 from the Tu sale, OPed £24.01, bought some lottery tickets and paid £10 into my SIPP as a sin tax (£12.50 after tax relief). A kind relative also gave DD2 £100, which has been paid into the usual Vanguard Target Retirement fund in Mrs E's ISA.
Now to get dressed! Have a lovely weekend all.

Is work ever good? All of the jobs I've had have all had significant issues. But I'm glad it is getting a bit better.
You've reminded me, I really should do some housework.4 -
Blimey! That lot puts my slovenliness to shame! I do the toilet every day and wipe the washbasins every evening, removing all hair from plugholes - and I clean the shower, properly, every time I use it. The washing machine now washes all clothes on cold but I do towels and bedding on 60 normally, with the occasional 90 wash to reduce soap scum.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Work continues to be grim, but pushing myself up the hill
£48.02 OPed today and I'm super pleased because I've now earned enough on Prolific to get paid. That's great, I've been at it for less than a week and I love the way that you build up a little "wave" of completed submissions in the background that get validated every couple of days. It's a bit like the knowledge version of TCB. I've taken part in some genuinely interesting surveys, too, like one about pet ownership and MH and arguing with a chatbot8
